I use the app anytime I'm in town and it's handy because you don't have to find the right change. However, I do think it's a bit sneaky when you return to your car and the app shows the 'Start Parking' button instead of the 'Stop' button. It has nearly caught me out a couple of times in the beginning and I won't recommend the app to friends because of this. It seems that the app would be perfectly happy to allow you to open multiple parking sessions at the same time if you moved your car.
They've added a fixed £1 transaction fee, which is extortionate. It should be a percentage. Not only that, it isn't refunded if you cancel the booking. Even if youve literally just made the booking 15 minutes earlier and cancel days in advance. I find it disgusting they're pocketing the transaction fee even after a cancellation since they haven't incurred any card fees. Apart from that the app and concept is brilliant!
Works well functionally but they have a deceitful business practice in that if you forget to turn off the app after you return to your car, later it appears that the session is stopped. The large button states 'Start' even after a session is started rather than 'Stop' so when you notice the app later, it appears that it is not running an active session when it is. Only when you click Start again (why would you though?) that the app states that there's an active session. You pay for a full day!!!
