The app works fine with the lights. I disagree with other reviews. I have no ads.. It's very simple and easy to use. There are a few flaws I see with the app and maybe even the lights, but nothing crazy. One is that the app takes a second to load up. It's not a long time, but enough to bother me since I want them off to sleep. Secondly,you are forced to have the app since the controller works poorly with the lights. I have had the lights for 6 months, and they are still holding up fine.
This was great.. at first. I got this as an early Christmas gift and the remote stopped working. So I downloaded the app. Which, even after deleting, closing and reopening several times, it no longer works. I even tried unplugging the lights in itself but.. no. The lights work and turn on when I plug them in so it is definitely the fault of the app. It says it can sync to music too, but that doesn't work either. These lights and this app were a waste of time and money. 2/10 would NOT recommend.
This thing is horrible. I got some lights for christmas, and in the directions it said to use this app for a few different functions. Turns out, even with my brand new phone, the app is broken. It has a 5 second countdown appear in the top right corner of my screen, but then doesnt put me in the app. Just the homepage of it. What a pointless buy. The remote doesn't even work.
