The app recognized my LUMI Block once and was able to play through a lesson. Since then, I have yet to establish connection to my device, even though it recognizes it. I've done every troubleshoot method suggested through the manufacturer website, but nothing was resolved. I gave it a month to see if it perhaps was something on my end, but it appears the app (or possibly the LUMI keys) have syncing issues. Pretty frustrating when I've already lost a month's worth of my annual subscription.
Great for beginners, but the singers are really bad. The Katy Perry and Lana Del Rey covers are really bad and makes it hard to practice over and over again listening to a really weird vocal track. Please get some better singers. I hate to sound mean. I can't sing, but dang, there have to better vocalists out there. Or, make an option to remove the vocal track? Oh, also, not being able to play with no wifi is pretty bummer bear. Id like to play my $300 dollar keyboard anytime, including offline!
Just simply doesn't work well. Constant issues. I have a seemingly permanent "internet connection" error that just popped up randomly, and decided its going to stay. Block itself is fantastic and the app does not reflect that. The concept is there but seems to just be a mash-up of existing technologies that don't flow together. Very disappointed and may return the block itself before my time is up. If it can't be used for what I purchased it for then I'd rather have my fist full of cash back.
