I have other apps to catch viruses and malware, but they weren't succeeding in getting rid of one. I tried this free trial to see; if it did it would be the one to keep. I ran it twice, but it did not. So I cancelled it about 2 days into the free trial. I got a message indicating it was canceled but I could continue using it for the free trial period. They then charged me anyway, and I'm stuck with something unuseful and expensive. Google refuses to refund so no more purchases on Google
Malwarebytes had been objectively the industry standard for perhaps 10 years or more that I've been using it on different devices and running once per week manually - the free version kept my device safe. The free version is no longer available. Some very difficult choices are going to need to be made. Not even a home screen explanation of the change in business models. Nada. Quite the disappointment. Can't even begin to imagine how many others I have recommended this to for use on Android. 🥺
I've used Malwarebytes for years now. I haven't had any real problems with it. I just recently started using the app on my phone. It seems to work just fine for my phone, just like on my laptop. But there are some problems, there's no dark mode that I can find (on the android phone). And once you activate some of the stuff like developer mode, you can't turn it off that I've been able to find. Overall, I would say the app is good, but there are some things that need to be worked on.
