I really hate this "follower," option. It takes forever for people to show up, meaning I have to sit there refreshing repeatedly waiting for mewe to catch up before I can send then a private message. It's dumb. There was nothing wrong with the other function and there is no real distinction between friends and followers. All it's done is complicate the system and make it buggy. And the bugs it's had forever still haven't been fixed.
EDIT: (12/2023) it seems the ability to save has been restored. Previously the option had been removed. A couple of suggestions for future updates - 1) being able to designate a default location for the download. 2) a notification when saved. Both of those would be very helpful.
So far seems pretty close to fb the only down side is having to go premium to do video chat or if you post over a certain amount of pictures. The notification sounds don't work most of the time so you don't know someone has messaged you. Everything else about the app is great. I think more people need to know about mewe it would really take off.
