Hi, I have been waiting very long for this feature, but after testing it, I am really disappointed. - My Phone-launcher will be displayed in original aspect ratio, which means only 1/3 of the Moniceiver-Screen is used - There is no Home-button. When I open an app, i.e. Google Maps, I cannot close it from the mirrored display any more - The Phone display has to been on all the time. If it turns off, the mirrored display gets dark, as well. - The name of this App contains "OA". I asume this means "Over the Air"´, why do I have to plugin a USB-Cable for this App?
This is extremely disappointing coming from Kenwood. It is extremely difficult to use, the app will not download and I confirm everything is setup correctly on my stereo. Whoever came up with this from Kenwood, should be terminated and this needs to be redone to be more user-friendly. Kenwood is obviously not reading the reviews or does not care. I'm going back to pioneer, I have boxed my stereo and sent it back.
This app *does* work. It's simply not well documented, which Kenwood must address to stop the negative reviews. - There is no UI, the main launch activity does not display anything, this is why launching it appears to do nothing. - It starts when you connect USB (after setting the head-unit device mode to Mirroring for Kenwood as described in the head-unit manual). - It simply mirrors your screen. It does not change the resolution, rotation, screen timeouts etc. To aid with this, you can try the app called "Second Screen" which can automate some of these things. Once you are in a full-screen landscape app with the screen timeout disabled (for example a navigation app), it works very well. Thanks Kenwood!
