EDIT: Since the last update the Remote Start has been working flawlessly - along with the rest of the app features. Thank you! ------------- Previous Review: The Remote Start is hit or miss! If you're going to put basic features behind a paywall, at least make sure the work & are reliable first. I've had my car for about 2 months now and the remote start only worked 2 times out of maybe 20 attempts (I've basically given up at this point).
The MyMitsubishi Connect App randomly doesn't follow its own security settings. I last vehicle reset to factory settings and it never gave me a notification in the app or SMS or email that was inputted to the account. The Preconditon Climate Controls also do not allow you to set it to your own temperature based on Winter and Summer seasons. I guess the keyword: Pre Conditined is set by your Operating software of your cellphone time zone that it automates itself to. Very frustrating.
Terrible app. Mitsubishi forces you into using the app for the remote start feature. However, it constantly fails or will fail to start, and you have to get out of the app and relaunch it multiple times to start the vehicle. My previous vehicle was a Ford Explorer, which I loved and had remote start on the keyfob. Mitsubishi's greed is forcing its customers to purchase this trash app in order to have this feature. While I like my Outlander, I will likely trade it in soon.
