this is an amazing app. I use it so often and I love it so much that I just now paid for a subscription. (Sep 20 2022). I really love the new feature that keeps track of already-analyzed YouTube videos. thank you for that one. now that I've subscribed, this app is even better! Music staff notation is wonderful, and I love how the red line that shows the current play time indicates the current chord too. that's a very good feature.
My husband is a phenomenal pianist who plays extremely complex music by ear, and often cannot tell me what he's playing simply because he changes chords too quickly. While it obviously cannot track his baseline fills and arpeggios, for capturing just the chords, it was about 95% accurate. That is far better than I could have hoped, and gives a good enough base for him to then edit as needed by hand. I will FINALLY get some lead sheets from him! 😊
This app is the best free app I found that can recognize chords in songs. It also has an option to use your device's microphone, and recognize chords it hears you play. I recommend this app for sure! However, I do have a couple recommendations. It would be very useful to many users, not just for me, if it were to show the chords for the ukulele and not just for the guitar. Also, when you make a recording, it would be great if you could name it. These are just ideas. I still enjoy the app as is!
