I have many navigation apps but google maps still the best one for daily using. Just one thing I don't like with maps: In places that have many water channels, Google Maps suggests paths that include walking on water : ). I think it should be developed to avoid this kind of vulnerabilities. I hope my suggestion will be taken as a improvement report for the developers of Google Maps
Works great. I started using it a couple years ago, and it was a little unreliable when put into background mode. Either through improvements in the app and/or Android, it's rock solid now (mid 2023). Setup can potentially be a pain, but my experience was straightforward and only took a few minutes of making sure the proper permissions were granted on the phone and watch.
Turns on my watch navigation when I'm in my car and runs down my watch battery. In response to the developer, as I mentioned, the settings on the ohone are not helpful. I use android auto and do not want my watch to take priority over it. I have it switched to off, but it doesn't turn it off. When I had auto start turned off I could not get maps/location to woek on the watch at all. Again.. making the app useless.
