The new "game plan" of opening ads virtually every screen is terrible. The app can say all it wants to thus is how they pay for it, but the user experience stinks. The only way to get out of these "mandatory" ad views is to click a small x often hard to see on the corner. Additionally, when you open sports, you get another drop down menu of options that is very difficult to close to move onto another section. I dont know if just by seeing these ads the Post app gets paid bit I never look.
I really like the New York Post, but the number of ads that are currently in the app has gotten ridiculous. I used to be able to read a lot of articles quickly and without interruption, but now full page ads pop up frequently when opening almost every article. These ads are incredibly annoying, and don't allow you to skip them until a lot of time has passed. They don't even let you use the back button while the ad is playing, so you're stuck watching an ad for a long time.
The ads are incredibly invasive. Update: Refreshing gets the message " the app was unable to make a connection. Please retry." Constantly. You have to force stop the app and clear the cache. This happened even before the last update.
