Nice app - wish it had a different setting for per app for when in use and when idle - some apps need network access to function but continue to send and collect data when idle. I have to enable permission each time I use those apps. But overall a great product especially the custom filters that you can set up right from the log file - for example you can disable access to the internet but enable network access on your LAN like if you have a NAS.
Used to be a fantastic app. Now it shuts down constantly without notice and doesn't start on boot. Very sad. There switch in the program's settings to "Block Connections without VPN." So theoretically when it shuts down it blocks everything. But since it glitches/shuts down, and Grey Shirts has no interest in the issue, I do not fully believe that I am protected when it shuts down. The only way you know it is shut down is when you try to directly access internet and get denied.
After using this app for years I highly recommend installing it. Disallowed games no longer show ads they just sort of crash a couple times and then work. I am currently looking for a wrapper for apps so that they don't snoop my data; however, I don't see one so I may just write one for Android. Either way this app is awesome!!! You should install it and start blocking stuff that should never have internet access to begin with :-)
