Scanning standard size font is very accurate. Doing a great job of picking text subtitles under numerous illustrations (printed on one page). Separates a two column text page into individual columns. Haven't tried yet more challenging situations (fine print or non-standard font). Have not encountered any ads.
The text recognise capability of this app is very good, fast and accurate, but it does not identify paragraphs. It treats each line of text in the image as a separate paragraph.
I was hoping for one that worked just like samsung old oc reader, I'm still looking for that app.it had some unique functions that developers decided were expendable. That's a pity. It would be really great if sat the function to pull text from an image the way that samsung app did, it would then be 5 stars... it doesn't read or scan bars though and that seems to be more prevalent today than it was...
