I only use this for taking readings, but I really find two things strange: 1. If you switch the phones torch on while taking your reading, the confirmation screen disables it. Why? I may still be wanting to look at the physical meter 2. The same confirmation screen has numbers in the doodles in its background. I do not want to see random numbers anywhere if I'm busy making sure a reading is correct. I understand they are supposed to represent filled in readings, but they are distracting :)
This version of the app is really nice. I think everything is an improvement over the previous. Better ui graphics, slimmed down sections, usage graphs navigate better, and the bills/activity is now useful. Add real time market rates for solar buyback and you've got a winner. Update: just keeps getting better. Feedback was taken seriously and Im so glad to see how well they were able to implement those nice-to-haves. Every interaction Ive had with them has been forthright & friendly.
Brilliant app, being able to monitor Octoplus, car charging and general energy usage etc in one place is really handy. In terms of EV charging, If you need to charge your car by a certain time in the morning, the system will automatically control the charging to ensure it's ready on time, even if it means extending the cheaper window by a small amount - whilst managing load on the grid. I had a slight problem with the app, the Devices tab disappeared for a bit, but Hector from support fixed it.
