4 stars for functionality, but 1 star for sign-up and billing. In Google Play, this app indicates that there is a monthly subscription option. Well, good luck finding it. My experience: I signed up for a 3-day free trial expecting to be able to start a pay-by-month subscription at $3.99/month. However, I discovered that my membership defaulted to $39.99/year and I could find no way to modify that setting, so I decided to cancel my membership. Too bad, because I would have gladly paid $3.99/month
Lost my laptop and flatbed scanner at JFK airport recently on a trip where I had anticipated scanning hundreds of photos and documents that my aunt had collected for decades. I used Photomyne out of desperation and am really impressed with the quality of the scans. I was also able to work much more quickly using the app. Easy to access and share the scans, as well.
When my Dad passed away and while going through things, I needed a way to scan photos. This app has helped me save memories. I had planned to cancel when we were done. I have changed my mind and am keeping the pay version. That was 2 years ago. I am still working on organizing all my photos and learning about the app. The features keep getting better. I love its potential. I keep learning as I go.
