As an EV driver, this has been the most useful app for finding chargers. Not only is it useful for planning longer trips, but also for locating locally available chargers. I don't have the luxury of being able to charge at home or work, so being able to see what charges are available near me is a godsend. Especially since the charger types I'm limited to are few-and-far between in an area with many other EVs. It's also immensely helpful having current updates and feedback from other EV drivers!
Very useful app when it works. Twice recently I've had the map get stuck on "loading locations" and I can scroll and see chargers but not click on them. After that I have to uninstall and reinstall and then it works again. Update: now needs to be reinstalled once per day. Why? I will update this review if the issue goes away.
It's a nice app, but I don't think the PlugShare scores are accurate. The chaging costs aren't accurate either, because they only show the base price per kilowatt hour or unit of time. They don't mention the additional costs, such as sales taxes, franchise fees, gross receipts taxes local option surtaxes, and utility taxes. (Yes, all these fees and taxes added 30% to the base cost of my last charge).
