Exceptionally bad, lacking any form of QA/basic usability testing. Using this for editing documents *will* result in data loss as the editor silently overwrites data, fails to sync, and fails to move the cursor around the document. Basic UI bugs such as the document being hidden behind the keyboard. This feels like a proof of concept for Quip on Android, not something that should have been allowed off of the developer's machine. A very poor showing that makes Notepad look attractive.
No dark mode in 2023, really? Super slow - document previews often didn't load until after clicking into the blank space where a document is. Also for some reason unbeknownst to me, clicking the "back" arrow in the up opens up a shared document's "Conversation History" instead of, y'know, going back to the screen where you picked the document to review. Just feels like no thought or effort went into this app.
I agree with the other reviewers. The app is extremely buggy in Android. Either the text doubles itself, or the formatting bar won't show up. And now Google has blocked it on my device for security fixes. If this is for the log4j issue, shame on you. I'm a developer and we got our stuff patched right away. I just wanted my to-do list and all I got was a whole evening of frustration. Switching services.
