I'm grateful that this remote allowed me to access television features that had never been accessed on a 2008 Toshiba Regza I just got from a friend. He never had the original remote and was using an old RCA universal that only controlled power, channel and volume. The picture was too dark and colors over saturated. Instead of stopping people in the middle if what they're doing, how about showing the ads before they use the remote?
Works perfectly for me. Very quick set up. Easy. I'm happy with it. I like that it shows me what my remote looks like so it's easy to know which one will work during set up. Does have ads but I'll take that over my half broken real remote. Couldn't get any other app to work.
Reason for my rating. My toshiba is not a smart tv or anything fancy, but it is a flatscreen. Lost my remote. This app keeps saying I dont have any form of infrared connection, which is bs. When I looked at its example options on how to solve my problem, it expects me to purchase extra items just to use the app with my tv. Im better off just going to walmart and ordering a toshiba "universal" remote. Either way, this was inconvenient.
