the speech on this app is awful!!! It won't let me speak and then when it does let me speak it says that I'm wrong so I have to back out and shut down the app and then go back in and reset the issue. you guys have a "how was our speech device" thing right after that and you do NOTHING about the fact that this hasn't changed since last year and probably way before. it's not ny laptop because this is the second laptop I've had with this app. this is ridiculous!!!!please fix your app!!!!
I've done the full series of lesson 1 in German. I like how they match the words to pictures. It seems like a good app. I am enjoying it so far. I have nothing to compare the app to as this is the first language learning app I've tried. I will probably do all of the lessons in Rossetta Stone, and then I plan on also trying out babble to compare them and to just have extra learning lessons. I'm excited to learn German again! SUPER FUN app to pass the time, rather than playing a pointless game.
I love using Rosetta Stone in its auto mode. I feel like my studying sinks in more. The ability to adjust speech recognition is also helpful. In the early stages of a new language, I set it to low. As my mouth gets a feel for placement, I increase the setting. My life goal of being a polyglot feels more accessible. (That said, I use both Rosetta Stone and Duolingo to approach my studies from two directions.) I'm still newish to Rosetta Stone, but I can already see a huge difference.
