I have been using this app for years and in general am quite happy with it. I just do the free version. My biggest complaints is actually the lack of more common feminine issues that can be marked when you note that the run isn't great. Would love to see categories like 'hips' and 'pelvic floor' added to the lineup. Or for all -- 'mindset/mental'. These issues are more impactful in my running than the options currently available.
Don't pay for a subscription! I bought a subscription to start the custom training workouts. The app isn't properly saving my runs. Even when I manually log in a run while having the training guide open and selecting the activity to log , it saves the run as a general activity. Since Runkeeper isn't recording the training runs, it doesn't progress the difficulty of my runs, which defeats the purpose of the subscription. Don't waste your money like I did.
I have no clue what is going on with the Runkeeper app but its performance has significantly degraded over the last several months. The app is updated on my phone. I press start and the app won't respond. I try to close the app and it won't "allow" me to. It takes several attempts to get it started correctly It worked for my first walk this morning then on my second walk when I started the app I got the blue field with the logo on it and nothing happened. I am SO FRUSTRATED !!!
