Good idea and decent execution but for the price it delivers a sub-par experience. UI has got to be the slowest thing ever invented; starting up takes over a minute on a phone that handles starting "the competition" in under 10, UI remains slow to respond to touch and don't even try to drag a map around because you can go make some coffee and drink it before the map's redrawn.
This app is absolutely brilliant. So much better than all the others out there. There are a few little snags in it (I'm a software developer myself, so I may notice these things too much!), but those will go with time. The ability to see estimated voyage times with the indication of tide, wind, and motoring is so good, and lots of other features that mean I can get a complete overview of what I need all in one place.
Looks pretty and detailed info in the areas we need. However when on route it always seems to lose GPS signal and diverts the route to land? It not my signal as I've checked with other apps at the same time. It's happened 3 times now in as many days. Shame as I do like the app itself but not ideal when tracking and timing a route.
