Great app. Great for adding notes to your PCI numbers so that you have a good idea of which towers you're seeing when you're traveling. Anyways, I bought the Pro version to support a well made app that helps you visualize what's going on around you. I USB tether at home to my computer. This is the quickest way to find out if I am on the LTE 700 MHz B12 band or if I'm on the LTE 1900 MHz B2 band. Currently, B2 pings great and downloads faster. I see many other bands elsewhere. Fun app!
Top battery drain of all of my apps due to many wakelocks. I like the cell signal and wifi reporting but can't accept the high battery drain. Edit 043023: Last update corrected the wake lock issue; thanks!
I like how there's plenty of info for LTE/5G signals that your phone is connected to as well as connections nearby and how quickly it updates that info. However, I think there could be a bug in the app because as of a few weeks ago I noticed new bands showing up as 5G NR 7 and NR 38 for 2500 MHz, 2600 MHz. Seems unlikely since I'm on the T-Mobile network and the only band in that range would be n41 / B41 as far as I know. I really enjoy the app and hope it gets future updates and bug fixes.
