As opposed to other car sharing apps, this app reserves the maximum potential amount your trip might cost while it's running. That is fine, except for the fact that these reservations aren't corrected immediately when the trip ends. Instead they charge you the final amount, and keep the reservation for a really long time. Right now sixt is holding 180 Euro on my credit card for a trip that ended up costing 80 euros. The trip was a week ago. Ridiculous
For a few weeks now, no cars are showing in the application. Tried to kill the app, restarted the phone, no luck. In the meantime, ShareNow is working on the same phone without hassles, so no, it's not the phone. It was a decent app back in the days when it used to work. Update: After the response from Sixt (see below) it started to work again 👌🏻👌🏻 I'm really impressed that actual efforts are being taken by such reviews 👍
Was using them for 3 years until my passport was expired and they blocked my account. After I got a new document I'm trying to activate the account again. Since September, more than 10 attempts and its not working! The app for Android makes the photos blurry and not clear and I can't do anything with it. Was in touch with support and their advises just don't work. And there's no person who can take responsibility and check my documents manually. Great, Sixt, you lost your customer.
