In areas with weak internet coverage, I faced difficulties in opening the car using the app. I had to walk to a spot with a stronger internet signal, reopen the app, and then return to the car, hoping the connection would work. This became quite troublesome, especially since many car parks suffer from poor data connectivity. Similarly, when I returned the car, I encountered weak internet connection at the car park. As the deadline for late delivery was approaching, I almost gave up on using it.
This is NOT a complaint about the app. So fast the app is great! However the fleet management sucks big time. The cars always had problems, often times after you booked them, they'll need to replace the cars for you and it's not an easy process if you are not in Malaysia. And this type of situation happens in every booking! It's getting worst every time I use Socar
Socar has gone from bad to worst. Customer support is non existent with no way of contacting them easily other than using email. No more live chat, email support are basically answered by people who don't understand the severity of the situation. The idea has great potential only to be let down by poor service providability. Meanwhile, a simple password reset also cannot be done, the URL sent via SMS/email only brings me back to the app without any further instructions.
