Terrible app. Almost makes the speakers unusable. For some reason it constantly has connection problems with both Apple Music and Amazon music. Used the voice feature to play a song by ELO. Went into the app to find the full album. Wouldn't bring up catalog for either Apple or Amazon. I've owned the speakers for about four years. They still sound great. I would use them a lot more if the app worked properly.
Rubbish product. It was great when it first came out, but has lost a lot of functionality and the product support "the customer is always wrong" philosophy is tiring. I miss playing music from my phone and don't appreciate having to plug a Sonos into my router to make it work. Losing configuration, such as speaker groups, when the router reboots (the answer to every Sonos issue) is tiresome.
With each year the app gets worse and slower. App is super slow to respond It could take 5 to 6 seconds for it to respond to just simple volume settings.... And I am on a top of the line flagship phone. Calling customer support tried to help but went nowhere - it's still just as buggy and slow. The worst part is I've been a customer for over 10 years and it used to be great.... Another example where they should have just kept it simple.
