I've been using Standard Notes using their Self-hosted solution for nearly 3 years. AFAIK this is the only self-host-capable note app. It has been specifically helpful to have a shared workspace for both me and my partner to store anything from recipes to vacation plans to task lists to just those quick "sticky note" type thoughts. The app and self-hosting were a bit rocky for the first year, but they're clearly dedicated to keep improving, and I'm hopeful that it will only keep getting better.
It's great, when it works. There was about two months where I have uninstalled and reinstalled a few times and it was giving me a black screen. It has since been resolved, I don't know how, as I didn't do anything other than reinstalling it later. I really love this app though. Edit: nvm it broke again Edit 2: I checked back four months later and it's working beautifully thank you team
Mostly pretty good, all the features work pretty well as described. Problem is that a lot of features which come standard on many of their competitor note apps for free, ie checklists, only come with a premium subscription and the cost is pretty steep, imo. So I am switching to a different app because there are many other good secure note apps here in the play store with features just as good in the free version and their subscription costs are a lot lower. I would say shop around first.
