This app records smartphone use, media exposure, and activity data for academic research. This app is being used by the Screenomics Lab at Stanford University and by academic affiliates for academic research. The app uses Media Projection API to capture screenshots and upload them to a server. Screenshots are captured upon screen unlock and at 5-second intervals. They are uploaded while connected to wifi, and deleted thereafter. The app also uses Accessibility API to collect user interaction gesture data (i.e., tap, swipe, and scroll events) in real-time as these gestures occur. The app also records daily physical activity data (i.e., step counts), using ACTIVITY RECOGNITION API, to learn user behavior while using smartphone.Download and install LDPlayer on your computer
