Resolved download issue. I like the program so far. Sky culture is very nice feature. Interface is clutter free, sweet. Atmosphere is great, when in town can adjust for light pollution. Will install on tablet ( bigger screen ). Don't have motor drive scope, yet, so can not speak to that. Need more time with program, and will adjust my review accordingly. Good job so far!
I had used the PC version of Stellarium years ago, and always found it to be overwhelming. I just bought this Android version to find the passing comet, and am amazed at how easy it is to use. The only thing that took me a while to figure out is how to get it to follow my phone again after zooming in - you just aim the phone straight up (this fact was probably shown in some tutorial box that I ignored...)
Love how much information the app contains and the various cultures that can be used when viewing the night skies. Not happy with how off the system is however. Everytime I want to use the app it asks me to calibrate and I go through the motions but it doesn't work. The progression count stays at 0% no matter how much figure 8 I move it in. It probably has something to do with the calibration not correct but the app is off by about half a cardinal direction. This could be amazing if not for this
