According to the owner's manual for my Subaru this app should be working much like android auto so I can do things like display the map and travel info or call info on the radio screen but it doesn't. Was very disappointed. Doesn't even have the items shown in the photos on this page for the app. And Subaru is no help at all for their failure.
Got this app as a last-ditch effort to get Google maps to show on the screen on my 2017 outback. It did not work, and Subaru will no longer even support the app after March 2023. The car is only 5 years old and the infotainment system is already useless other than the Bluetooth connection because Subaru refuses to provide support or updates for their own products. Shameful.
App has always been a disappointment. Slow, resources intensive. Screenshots show a map app however it was never available in my version in the four years the app has been installed. Only kept installed in hopes they'd somehow implement Android auto via starlink. Now the app is being decommissioned inarch 2023. Justified in end of lifing this product but it is a shame Subaru never had a useful solution for my 2017 Forester.
