Very nice-reads whatever you copy to app. Minimal permissions and no information shared. There is no pause button though. If you stop, it will start at the beginning again. Wish there were more voices built into the app. The voice is so monotone it puts me to sleep! 12/31/23‐ did the update and now the app doesn't work. Nothing will paste to it. Sorry I did the update. Time to uninstall and move on.
Great little app. Simple and effective. I downloaded it when I lost my voice, it really saved the day. I like copy pasting whole songs for my kids too. They laughed for 20 minutes to the song Black Betty. Especially when I switched up speed and pitch. Bonus points for the personal touch, a very tactful execution a message of how to give back and message of thankfulness.
The app works great, but could use a little work. For example, I tried getting the text-to-speech app to pronounce certain made-up words that I incorporated into a completely nonexistent language. However, the app doesn't seem to recognize certain accents being used. Sometimes, it doesn't even attempt to pronounce the words, if the app doesn't recognize them. Might I suggest updating the app to where it can pronounce diff accents in other languages, precisely in a made-up Germanic language? Ty.
