Decent app. I've used to access a few local fm stations in my area. Worked well until ads became overwhelming. For example, ads used to play for 15 to 30 seconds before loading the station. Not a problem at all. Then the ads played for up to a minute, would load the station briefly and would then play more ads. These are app ads not the radio station's ads. Sometimes it will require click through or it will keep playing ads nonstop. Uninstalled and will try something else.
I love news and TuneIn has the best selection of news coverage and commentary. This app keeps me up to date and very well informed. But, after 6 months of listening to non-stop repeated stories again and again and again and again in place of commercials, I cancelled my premium membership. I bought premium in order to listen to CNN and MSNBC. But every time they go to commercial they put old news in place of the commercials and the volume increases or decreases by 100% - SUPER F'KNG IRRITATING!!!
It doesn't require an email to use it, like i♥️does. It has most RADIO stations (real radio NOT sensationalized podcasts). EDIT: it's become less enjoyable as it endlessly promotes podcasts- literally every commercial break- sometimes twice. It has also started playing irritating long i♥️ podcast promos- sometimes bumping the stations actual broadcast. I have missed half of a "block" because of a #$!@ podcast ad. It crashed today in the middle of news broadcast. Bad app with no alternative...
