Well, aside from having to sign up and email verify before you get hit with a banner of "75% off today!" and you find out that after a 3-day free trial, you pay "only" $55.99/year and then $79.99 every year thereafter(you are supposed to be impressed that you don't have to pay the usual $238+/year... but then when you get what amounts to 4-6 pages of book content or about 5 minutes of a podcast, it hardly seems worth it. Plus, many of the Books can be found free everywhere. OK idea too pricey!
Changed my review from 5 to 2 stars. The app is great. And summeries of books are broken down perfectly. $20 a month (or $80 a year) for the premium content didnt seem bad at first and I considered upgrading at some point in the future. But when my free trial of the premium content ended I quickly understood that MOST of the app's conent can only be accessed with the subscription. And if I'm only going to be using Uptime in my downtime, the price doesnt seem worth it. Great bait tho.
Seemed like the perfect app for me but I can't commit to premium unless I can share a quote directly(you can only share a link to the uptime app/site for another person to see quote), & section 5 of each book is repeating making the hacks take longer than they should. There are only a small amount of books to choose from, many of I've never heard of, which is saying something for this bibliophile. I really love the concept of this app but it still needs work for the $$.
