Recently got a new phone and having a few issues. The first is that the temperature notification does not display in the notification bar at the top of the screen, even though "on-going temperature notification" is turned on. Second, it keeps sending me incorrect temperature notifications. It keeps sending me a notification that it's 57°, but then I go in the app and it shows something completely different.
The predictions are precise and usually correct, but man the notifications! Expect 10 or more notifications every day for all kinds of news, much of it not even related to weather. I tried to make my settings to where I only get notifications for local weather events but it wasn't able to. I'm a 35 yrs man who is somewhat tech savvy, so it shouldn't be that hard. So I've had to block all notifications, which isn't optimal.
This weather app has a surprising lack of weather on it. Not only is it covered in ads, but you have to pay to actually see the weather past a certain point... Something that would be free by just doing a Google search. That being said the forecasts aren't all thar accurate, not something to depend on at all. The most egregious thing is the amount of spam the app bombards you with. I keep getting notifications from this app, only for it to be some stupid click bait news article. Don't install.
