The X air app for android is terrible... tried this as I wanted to dedicate a wireless pad to the mixer, and IOS doesn't have the WiFi network controls android has. (you have to select each and every possible wifi connection the iPAD sees and tell it "no.") However, the general appearance of the IOS version is much better and easier to control. The android app needs big improvement. The controls are there, but buried and you have to constantly switch views. Not good.
This version is VASTLY inferior to the iPad version and seriously needs to be updated on the Android side. If you're like me and coming from the iOS side trying to learn the Android version, oh man, you're in for a STEEP learning curve. Having said that, after spending more than a few hours in frustration, the app does do everything you need. It would be AMAZING if they updated this to match the style and layout of the excellent excellent excellent iPad version. Come on man! Fix this one up!
It does the job. However the Android version is very lacklustre. 2 pages of channels instead of being able to scroll sideways over to other channels like in iOS. Complicated format to look at all Bus and FX sliders, whereas in iOS and PC they're all listed along the side and you can easily switch between them. This is especially frustrating live. I will say, the Gate, EQ and Compressors pages are much better and customisable on Android than iOS. Overall, Android version needs an update
