So I've used the free version of xmind for desktop for years to map out screenplays. The desktop version allows me to add images for free. However, this mobile version ask for a subscription. It should be a flat rate of all they offer is the ability to add images and exporting. Subscriptions are for services and not features. Doesn't make sense to me. Especially when there are other mind mapping apps that also allow to add images for free. Plus there is no import or sync feature that allows me to have my desktop maps in mobile form. Very disappointed.
I give it 3 stars. One reason is you can't even drag the boxes to where you want them because the screen moves with it so it just stays in the same location. Another reason is there's issues with zooming and moving to view around. And lastly is when you chose to change something like the font size for the summary, it does do it to the other summaries and you have to do it one by one.
Best mind map I have found so far. Feels almost like a desktop application. Logical controls. Free version has no ads. Want to give XMind 3-1/2 stars. Would give even higher rating, but there are a few shortcomings. Expensive monthly subscription, with no option of choosing an ad banner instead. I have too many subscriptions as is and they get costly. No search feature within each mind map --- this may require an upgrade. Entire diagram is very jumpy on Android 8.0.0.
