Website SUCKS! Mobile site will not detect location (allowed), nor will it search by zip code. Going to the map freezes the page at the bottom so you can only see a sliver of the map and you can't scroll up. No option to open the full site over the mobile site. Shameful. Thankfully, the app is MUCH better! Searches kept trying to default to San Francisco, even though my location is turned on and I have my city in my profile. It was annoying to have to change the search filter each time.
Search results are rigged. Basically sends you to the popular places, but not in the way it's supposed to..very likely businesses that pay to be promoted. For example, I just searched the word "rooftop" and the first recommendation is a very popular bar I've been to before that definitely does not have a rooftop or any semblance of it. Their search results are so annoying. I now just use yelp to save places I've enjoyed eating at.
Horrible. I used to use yelp almost exclusively. Now it seems useless. it cant see the restaurant right across the street. And when I search specifically for it, it finds it, but puts the address on the map a half a mile away. When you follow the mapped address over to google maps, it carries over the map location, but has a completely different street number address. Totally useless. Goodbye.
