As of the last update in January 2024, I can no longer take screenshots or record videos within the app. It crashes. There is also a strange white border around the video feeds in app that never used to be there. Please fix the functionality of the app so my cameras can be used properly again!
Hello! The app stops recording once I've moved out of the app. It records for up to 60 seconds when the motion detector is activated like its supposed to however if I wanted to have the app record when I can't watch the live feed, then shouldn't it keep recording ESPECIALLY since YiEye is constantly "running in the background" already??? I would be happy to change this to 5 stars if there was an update that included the option to "continuously record" even if navigated away from the app.
There's a serious lag between the time of motion detection and when the camera begins recording. Once recorded, the files are difficult to view or share. Many won't open at all, or give a message that it failed to record. Unwanted, unviewable, or unrecorded files are difficult to erase individually, taking up a lot of space on the memory card. All files must be erased to get rid of anything. Overall, I'd give it 1 star, only because the battery lasts for several days
