This Dawn of Kingdoms review will show you what we've seen, what you may expect, and what the game is like in case you weren't able to participate but are interested in learning more. If you've played more than a few strategy games, you may have observed that very few of them try to break away from the mold and offer their players something fresh.

Dawn of Kingdoms Review, Guide and Best Tips

In fact, out of a dozen games, you might find that only one or two actually make an effort to do this. Dawn of Kingdoms is just one game out there that's striving to introduce innovative and entertaining gaming mechanics to its audience. Only a few games, like Dawn of Kingdoms, for instance, provide you with an edge based on your surroundings, so your starting position is crucial.

Hills and mountains can be used to your advantage when protecting your city, and the type of terrain you choose will determine how quickly you expand and how many extra resources you gain.  They may be found all throughout the world map, and their aesthetic value elevates the game in many ways. Playing Dawn of Kingdoms on PC with LDPlayer 9 is the best method to experience the game because of the superior visuals and abundance of extra gameplay options.

The Gameplay of Dawn of Kingdoms

After the first battle with barbarians, you will be asked to choose a continent to build your city on. The map is made up of a few continents, and they all have different terrain and benefits. Your gold production goes up by +100 on Tinir, and training cavalry takes 2% less time than on other continents. In this window, the game will suggest a continent for you to pick, but you can always select any continent you want.

The Gameplay of Dawn of Kingdoms

How Resource productions Work?

In Dawn of Kingdoms, there are only a few primary resources, like food, wood, and gold, that you need to build things and train soldiers. There are two ways to get them. The first is to make resource buildings and put people to work on them. When assigning villagers to productions, you can choose which one you want to focus on first. This way, you can make sure you never run out of that resource.

You can train more villagers in your town center, but the number you can have depends on how many houses you have. If you want more villagers, you have to build more houses or improve the ones you already have.

Your town center is the next thing you have to keep up-to-date. The level of your town center affects how many buildings you can make, how much land you can use, and how many resources you can store. It also gives you access to new technologies and facilities.

Resource Points

When you look at the world map, you'll see that there are a lot of resource points near your city. These are the second way to get resources, and they don't require your villagers to produce resources; however, you have to fight and win in order to capture and keep these resource points.

Resource Points

All of these resource points have different levels. It's easy to get low-level resource points, but to get higher-level ones, you need good strategy and policy. As your city grows, you'll need fewer low-level resource points to support it.

Instead, you'll need to focus on getting more advanced resource points. If you want a specific resource more than others, you can search for it using the search button on the left side of the screen. But before you send your troops there, check the level of the resource point.

Fast Growth at the Beginning

Most early-stage essential buildings have a cooldown of fewer than five minutes. Most games give new players gems to skip these mechanics and get them used to use premium currency, but in Dawn of Kingdoms, you can start building faster and finish them without spending the freebies you get because it lets you finish buildings that have less than five minutes of building time left instantly and for no cost. So you can build a city that works in less time and for free.

Assembling an Army

Sward barracks is the first building you will have access to; other than swordsmen, you will have access to cavalry, Pikemen, and archers. Upgrading the barracks of each troop type will increase your prosperity, troops' training speed, and amount of troops you can have at one time. When you use your troops, they will get injured through the hospital building and you will be able to heal them.

Assembling an Army

At first, you'll only be able to train basic troops to fight your battles. Upgrade your Castle Age if you want more advanced troops. When you upgrade Castle Age, you can use more advanced troops, get more hero slots, increase the number of resources your villagers can produce, and do a lot more.

Attacking Other Cities in Dawn of Kingdoms

You can send a unit to scout a town before attacking it, but if you do that or attack another player, you lose your peace shield. By doing this, you can find out how powerful they are, and the scout report will tell you which units are the best to use to get the upper hand.

For example, if you scout a city and the game tells you to use archers, you have to use both archer units and archer heroes to fight that city. This is because some of the game units have weak conditions among them, the same as the elemental system in other games.

  • Pickmen will do more damage to swordsmen, and swordsmen will take less damage from Pickmen.

  • The damage that pickmen do to cavalry is greater, and they take less damage from cavalry.

  • When fighting archers, cavalry will do more damage and take less damage from their attacks.

  • Swordsmen will do more damage to archers, but archers will do less damage to them.

One thing to keep in mind when attacking other players is their power. Even if their power is only slightly higher than yours, you should avoid attacking them if you can since the game doesn't have real-time battles as old strategy games did, and your success will depend on your power.

Attacking Other Cities in Dawn of Kingdoms

When you make the team, you must give each unit a hero. When you send a squad into battle, you can use its special abilities while it is fighting. So you have to pay attention to the conflict and use your heroes' abilities as quickly as you can to extend the amount of time you can use their power in one battle.

One other thing you should know about attacking is that If you attack a city, you will be at war, and you won't be able to use peace shields that stop other players from attacking you. Before you attack, the game figures out what will happen and tells you if there are any risks. For example, if you have wounded soldiers, it will tell you how much you will lose, so think about this before you go into battle.

Attack Buffs

Attack buffs are potions that you can use to make your attacks do more damage. Players with a level 12 or higher town center can use them. There are two different attack boosts you can use in the game. The first one increases your attack by 10%, and the second one increases it by 30%.

Attack Buffs

Protecting Your Resources

At the beginning of the Dawn of Kingdoms, you get three days of a free shield. Doing anything hostile, like scouting, taking over other players' resource points, or attacking cities, will make you lose this shield and open you up to attacks.

When you run out of your first free shield, you can use another one that takes 2 hours to cast, so be ready to cast it and train your troops to attack other players when you are almost out. You can attack other players while your peace shield is being cast, but you can't do that once the shield is done.

Protecting Your Resources

Other than the free 5-hour shield we talked about above, there are many shields you can buy. The ones you can buy don't have a cast time and can be used right away. If you get one of these shields, the best way to use it is to attack until all your troops are dead, then use it quickly. This will help you avoid attacks of vengeance.

You can't stop other players from attacking your city and taking your resources unless you're willing to spend a lot of real-world money on the game. However, they can only loot the resources you've already gathered, so you can protect them by using them all for something at the last second of your peace shield. The other way is to not collect the resources you get from mail and achievements until you need them for an important construction or upgrade.

Defense boost is another way to increase your survival. Like attack boost, there are two different defense buffs that give 10% and 30% defense boost, but if you're new to the game, using them won't help much because you'll usually be attacked by high-level players, and the 30% boost won't make up the difference.

Conclusion

This  Dawn of Kingdoms review should have provided you with a good overview of the game and some useful hints for improving your performance. To improve your game, it's more important to study offensive fundamentals than defensive ones. This Dawn of Kingdoms guide must now come to a close. Have a great day, and thank you for reading!
