Epic Seven November Hero Balance Update Patch - What To Expect

With the update coming to Epic Seven this end of November, a variety of heroes will receive special skill changes and gameplay mechanic updates. With this rendition of Epic Seven, a total of 3 5* heroes have experienced changes to their kit, some are major changes to how their kit work and some or minor adjustments to their kit in order to make them easier to use or to strengthen their PvE and PvP capabilities.

Of the 3 5* heroes, 2 of them are Moonlight heroes and the other is a normal Covenant Heroes. In addition, 1 Moonlight 4* Hero and 1 normal 4* heroes will also receive changes in their skills as well.

Lone Crescent Bellona

Lone Crescent Bellona is a 5* Dark Warrior Hero that specializes in dealing massive amounts of single target damage to an enemy and grants all allies special undispellable buffs when she manages to defeat the enemy. In addition, her kit allows her to accumulate Fighting Spirit to trigger an extra counter attack that attacks all enemies, increasing her attack and combat readiness.

Lone Crescent Bellona’s role in a team is to be main damage dealer and finisher, allowing her to deal massive amounts of damage to 1 enemy and defeating them in order to grants all allies the Vigor buff, increasing her and allies attack and defense stats by 30%. However, due to her low damage modifiers, she often fails to deal the finishing blow to the enemy.

With this new buff, Lone Crescent Bellona’s skill damage and damage modifiers have experienced a massive buff, allowing her to deal even more damage with her 3rd skill and her 2nd skill passive, making her a more reliable damage dealer. In addition, she will now accumulate Fighting Spirits even faster with the increase Fighting Spirit gain from 15 spirits to 20 spirits per attack.

Death Dealer Ray

Death Dealer Ray is a Dark Soul Weaver Hero that specializes in dealing massive amounts of damage to all enemies by inflicting them his special debuff Venom, allowing him to inflict a special Injury state on enemies, permanently reducing their max health point proportional to the amount of damage he deals. In addition, his skill kit also allows him to grant all allies the special Pestilence buff, allowing the allies to inflict the venom debuffs as well when they attack using their skills.

Death Dealer Ray is a mix between a buffer ally and a damage dealer by inflicting special debuffs on the enemy and granting allies the buff to further inflict pain upon the enemy with Venom. However, his kit is flawed in the sense that it takes too long for the Venom debuff to actually take effect as it is a Damage Over Time Debuff, meaning the enemy can just tank the debuff or cleanse it and destroy your team before the debuff can do anything. However, with the new changes to his kit this is no longer a problem.

Death Dealer Ray’s skill kit received 2 major changes. Firstly, the Pestilence buff granted to allies using his 2nd skill will now not only inflict the Venom debuff on the enemy whenever an ally uses their skill, but also immediately detonate all Venom debuffs on the enemy, inflicting Injury proportional to the amount of Venom debuffs on the enemy. In addition, Death Dealer Ray’s normal attacks will now deal damage equal to 40% of the amount of Injury inflicted on the enemy, allowing him to be a competent damage dealer. In addition, his 3rd skill will now remove 2 buffs from the enemies instead of 1 before inflicting them with the Venom debuff.

Aramintha

Aramintha is a 5* Fire Mage Hero that specializes in burning the enemies and stunning them, allowing the team to take advantage of the burn DoT and the turn granted from her stuns to deal damage to the enemies.

Aramintha’s main role in the game is to be the first character to move and enable other characters’ skill kits using her debuffs. In addition, she is a very popular pick for PvE contents such as Golem Hunt and others.

That being said, with this change to her skill kit, players can now use Aramintha more diversely thanks to the options provided through her 1st and 3rd skills. With this new change, Aramintha will no longer detonate the Burn debuffs inflicted whenever she uses her 1st skill, instead, to enable this, players can use her exclusive equipment instead. Furthermore, her Burn debuffs will now last for 2 turns instead of 1, massively increasing her damage output potential. In addition, her 2nd and 3rd skills have also received some buffs to make her more powerful, with her 2nd skill increasing her combat readiness by 30% and her 3rd skill’s stun rate increased from 50% to 70%, making her more reliable to use in general PvE and PvP contents.

Game Mechanics Changes

In addition to the changes to some heroes skill kits, an additional change will now be applied to the game’s overall mechanic concerning the debuff “Sleep”.

Previously, the debuff sleep only affected the enemy and made them unable to act for the duration of the debuff and can be removed by attacking the enemy inflicted with sleep. With this balance update patch, the sleep debuff will now decrease the dodge rate of enemies inflicted with it by 100%, meaning that if the hero is inflicted with sleep, any damage dealt against them is guaranteed to result in a successful hit.

Who Should You Build

With the adjustments with the November Hero Balance update patch, players who have Death Dealer Ray And Lone Crescent Bellona should really be focusing on building them since their buffs made it so that they will be extremely powerful in the new meta of the game.

For Lone Crescent Bellona, her damage output has been increased thanks to this adjustment to her skill kit and her gear requirement have also decreased significantly.

For Death Dealer Ray, players can now use him in more team comps as his effects are now immediate, allowing him to become a competent damage dealer overall.

Finally, players should also take note and build up heroes that can inflict the enemies with the debuff “Sleep” so that they can combat the overall PvP dodge hero meta at the moment, due to the debuff now decreasing the chance to dodge attacks of heroes inflicted with sleep.
