Guild of Guardians Unveils Frostmire Expansion with New Legendary Guardians

2024-10-18

Immutable Games has exciting news for fans of its mobile trading card game Guild of Guardians. The company launched the first major expansion for the game, titled Frostmire, which will bring new content, along with two new Guardians, Lisca and Dolvir. This icy update is meant to immerse players into a fresh environment filled with snowy and frozen plains.

Speaking of participating in new projects, Business2Community offers an opportunity for early participation in virtual currency IDO (Initial DEX Offering) projects. These early virtual currency projects often lead to explosive growth, so it’s worth investing in them. They also often come with specific utilities, such as the ability to complete in-game purchases. For example, you can use virtual currency to purchase items in Frostmire since the game incorporates blockchain technology through NFT-based Guardians.

The Frostmire expansion introduces Lisca and Dolvir. Game Director Chris Clay gave insight into the design of these new characters: “[Lisca is] supremely adapted to the cold; they traverse the frost with ease, and bring it to bear with deadly effect with her ranged attacks and skills.”

You will see that Lisca is a prolific ranged hunter with roots in the icy lands of Frostmire. She has a sharp sense of humor and she loves sweet treats. Her experience in icy combat makes her a formidable force since she can control the battlefield with pinpoint accuracy.

On her side, Dollar has a different warrior-style for a Guardian. According to Clay, “[Dolvir] has the ability to disrupt enemy ranks, and his summoned pets provide additional damage, tankiness, and sustain.”

His offensive capabilities, alongside his summoned companions, are designed to provide players with a strategic edge when facing tough opponents. You can acquire both new Guardians via the Altar of Sacrifice, either through purchase or summoning upon the launch of the expansion.

Also, once you start playing this game, you’ll have plenty of new features to explore. Some updates include new enemies, music, and other surprises. According to the development team, they want each expansion to push the game’s narrative forward and immerse players further into its world. Clay also hinted at their plan to release new regions every four to six months, depending on player progression and balancing live events with new expansions.

As for the gameplay, Guild of Guardians follows the path of autobattles like Teamfight Tactics. They blend elements from roguelite and trading card games. Commanders—players who guide a team of Guardians through dungeons—will encounter new challenges in Frostmire as they gain experience, loot, and level up their squads.

Frostmire will also introduce level-7 gear and equipment, so Guardians can be stronger in combat. These new items will give you an edge in both PvE and competitive scenarios. Speaking of competition, Clay revealed that a limited event will soon follow the expansion’s launch, offering players more chances to test their skills and claim rewards.
