To regain the resources you spent on one character, you can use the rebirth option. You get three free rebirth chances per character, and after that, you will need gems to reset them. As you summon new characters through the gacha, you will find copies of the characters you already have. These characters can be sacrificed to increase the star count of the heroes, but they will not add any new skills; instead, they will raise their base stars by large amounts. 

However, the resources you spent on ascending them will not be returned, nor will the star count reset when you rebirth a character. Because of this, to start the game with some motivation, if you have a special character that you must have on your team, the best thing to do is reroll.

How to Reroll in Must Kill: Last Strike

Economy and Resources Acquisition

Must Kill: Last Strike has three types of currencies: Gold, Gems, and Colored Gems. Gold is the most common currency in the game and is needed for basically every upgrade you make. Ironically, you can earn gold by doing anything in the game. However, Gems are a bit rarer to find and can be used to summon heroes, buy resources, participate in events, and more. Gems can be earned from the idle system, completing campaigns, PvP, events, quests like daily objectives and reading newly acquired character detail pages. 

Colored gems are even rarer, and you'll hardly find a place that rewards you with these gems. Instead, they have to be acquired by spending real money. If you have them, you can participate in gem-exclusive events, trigger first-time purchases, and benefit from VIP perks. 

If you're running out of resources, you can dismiss characters below level 4. Level 3 characters and below can't be used as character promote materials and their only use is resources that can be acquired by dismissing them. This feature unlocks in the late stages. To use this early, select a character you have already leveled up and use the rebirth option. Instead of rebirthing, change to character dismiss, use auto-select, and press dismiss until you have no level 3 or below characters left.

Shops of Must Kill: Last Strike

There are a few shops that use different currencies and offer special items for sale. Here are the main shops you'll find in the game.

Tournament Shop: In the tournament, you can fight other players for first place. Every win grants you 10 tournament coins, which you can use to buy rare amulets, 5 and 4-star hero shards.

Daily Shop: In the daily shop, you can collect one free pack every day, and discounts in this shop go up to 90%, but you can only spend gems here. You should buy deals above 60% to get the best out of this shop.

Random Shop: From this shop, you can buy items for gems and coins, but it also offers highly discounted items. You should always buy packs that are on sale for coins first, then spend gems if you want those items and refresh. You have five daily free refresh chances. The funny thing about this shop is that the more you refresh, the more items become available for coins than for gems. This is a good way to buy items for almost free.
