Outerplane - Closed Beta First Impressions & Gacha Rates

Being a surprise on the First day of September, this new game is being released in closed beta for letting players test it! Published by Smilegate (Epic Seven Publisher too) it’s a new Isekai-Theme Turn Based Rpg that feature a lot of characters to play with and collect, with different element (Fire Earth Water Light & Dark) and different roles (Strikers, Mages, Defenders, Archers, Healers). Very powerful humans called Earthlings are being summoned from the Earth to the world of Outerplane, and you are one of them, but when you are about to kill the evil entity of this world and retrieve the famous “Lost King Treasure” you are being betrayed by the Princess that summoned you and left nearly dead. Eve, a very strange entity, will guide you in your revenge against the “Lovely” Princess!

What is Outerplane?

 

Outerplane is a very “Classic” Turn Based RPG similar to other titles in the market (Epic Seven, Artery Gear: Fusion etc). The game features a team of 4 characters, with different roles and elements, and a lot of content to play with, such as Main Story and Sub Story, Daily Dungeon for Equipment and Awakening/Enhancing material, PvP Arena, Raids, Tower etc. If you like Turn Based RPGs and collect a lot of heroes, this game is what to look for when it’s release will hit the market!

 

Game Content

 

Main Story

 

In the “Main Story” you will discover the main plot of the game. Main story provides you with different chapters (max 8 for now) with different kinds of rewards for any chapter (Every chapter features a different beginner equipment Set, and also Exp items and first time rewards). If you finish any stage with max stars, you can redeem additional rewards from the main story.

 

Side Story

 

The “Side Story” is unlocked just after the Main Story. The difference with Main Story content is the rewards, in Side Story you will receive specific Hero Shard based on the story (Ex: First Side Story is for Eva). Completing Side Story will reward you with Common rewards like Golds, Exp etc. but also with Hero Shard, for letting you Transcend your character.

 

Daily Content

Bounty Hunter

 

The “Bounty Hunter” is a daily content you must complete in Outerplane. You have 2 entries x day (Rechargeable with Gems) and these stages provide you with Golds. The fast you clear the monster waves, the better the rewards!

 

Bandit Chase

 

The “Bandit Chase” is another daily content. Same as “Bounty Hunter” you have 2 entries x day (rechargable) and these stages provide you Food, the Experience Material for leveling up your character. 

 

Upgrade Stone Retrieval

 

The “Upgrade Stone Retrieval” is the last daily content for this trio. Same as others you have 2 entries x day (rechargable) and this stages provide you with Elemental Upgrade Stones (Fire, Water, Earth etc) that are necessary for your character progression (Unlock higher levels for your characters)

 

Special Request: Ecology Study

 

In the “Special Request: Ecology Study” you can obtain the best equipments (Helm, Chest, Gloves, Shoes) in Outerplane. Featuring 3 different boss fights (Fire Water Earth) you can choose the boss to fight and try to achieve a win. Once a day you have a drop bonus from those fights, and the higher the stage you complete, the better the rewards (to a maximum of 6 stars Legendary Equipment). Every boss drops different Gear Sets, so check the one you are interested in before fighting.

 

Special Request: Identification

 

The “Special Request: Identification” is similar to “Ecology Study”, but you can only obtain Weapon and Accessory gear. Featuring 3 different boss fights (Fire Water Earth) you can choose the boss to fight and try to achieve a win. Once a day you have a drop bonus from those fights, and the higher the stage you complete, the better the rewards (to a maximum of 6 stars Legendary Equipment). Every boss drops different Gear Sets, so check the one you are interested in before fighting.

 

Skyward Tower

 

The “Skyward Tower” is a Monthly reset content that provides you a lot of goodies if you can complete all the floors (Actually 70). There’s very different rewards in the Tower, ranging from Gems, to Special Gear, Charms, Golds, Equipment and a lot more. Try to complete the Tower every month to unlock all those rewards!

 

Arena

 

The “Arena” is the main PvP content of Outerplane. It’s a very common Arena content. You can set your Defense team, and fight 5 times every day (You can add more entries with Gems / Tickets) versus AI Players. The rewards for Arena are based on your Rank (From a maximum of 3000 gems x Season for the 1st Place to a 50 gems x Season for the lowest tier. You also get “First Accomplishment Reward” every time you reach a new Rank. You will also collect Medals with any fight you do in Arena, and Medals can be Exchanged in the Arena shop for rewards such as Exp Material, Golds, Character Shards and Skill Tome!

 

Character & Battle

 

Character

 

Every Character in the Outerplane must be cultivated for becoming strong. Characters in the game can have different roles and also different Elements. 

 

Roles

• Defender : The Tanks for your team, they usually provide buff such as Barrier or Taunt and also can survive longer in the battle

 

• Striker : The main Damage role in your party. Striker usually are fragile but can deal a lot of damage

 

• Ranger: Ranger can both deal some damage, but also strike the foes with different debuffs, such as slow, blind, stuns etc

 

• Mage: Mages are usually AoE (Area of Effect) specialized Heroes, able to deal a lot of damage to anyone in the field

 

• Healer: Healer provide your team with Heals, let them survive and also beneficial effect such as Shield, Speed buffs, Regen etc

 

Skill

Every character in the game features a different set of Skill, usually 3 Standard Skill (Both Active and Passive) and 1 Chain Skill (Usable with Chain Strike or Dual Attack). Skills can be upgraded with Skill tomes for improving the effect. There’s also Burst skill that can consume Burst power during battle for additional effect (Burst can be improved with Character Transcende)

 

Transcend
With Hero Shards (obtainable with Heroes Dupes/Shops) you can improve your character's stars to a maximum of 6. Each Star grants your characters passive stats (Such as HP, Def etc.) and also passive bonus (3 and 5 stars unlock Burst level 2 and 3 etc.)

 

Trust Gauge

If you improve your character friendship with gifts, you will be able to unlock Character Special Gear (at maximum friendship) and also various rewards (Gems, Skill Tomes etc)

 

Equipment

 

The “Equipment” in Outerplane is the most important thing for improving your character power. For gear you have:

 

Normal Gear

• Main Weapon: The main weapon of your character, some weapons can be used by anyone, while others are class locked

 

• Accessory: Same as Main Weapon, there’s common accessory that anyone can use but also Class locked accessory

 

• Head Piece: First piece for any of the 2 - 4 piece sets in the game. Head piece main stat is always HP, while sub stats can be various

 

• Chest Piece: Second piece for any of the 2 - 4 piece sets in the game. Chest pieces always have DEF as the main stat. Sub can be various

 

• Gloves Piece: Third piece for any of the 2 - 4 piece sets in the game. Gloves pieces always have ACC as the main stat. Sub can be various

 

• Shoes Piece: Forth piece for any of the 2 - 4 piece sets in the game. Shoe pieces always have EVA as the main stat. Sub can be various

 

Special Gear

• Special Gear can be obtained with Hero Friendship and some dungeons/tower drops. Special gear is an unique piece for every character in the game that give special stats and passive skills

 

Charms

• Charms are also unique equipment that you can customize with Gems giving desider stats and they also offer special effects such as Chain point gains, crit, def buffs etc.

 

Battle

 

The Battle in Outerplane is turn based, with a lot of elements that you must be careful to check:

 

1. The number of stages in your current battle
2. The Monster you must fight
3. The Skill of your current character and your Burst Meter
4. Chain Meter that also let you unleash Chain Attack
5. The Turn Order of both your team and enemy team
6. Chat, Auto Battle, Battle Speed and Pause

Special Recruit

 

The “Special Recruit” is the “Rate Up” banner in Outerplane. For this Closed beta it features Lynn, but at the release we don’t know if there will be multiple Rate Up Banners or Double Banners. Also for now the game only features the “Free Currency” banner, but there’s also “Paid Currency” and maybe in future there will be a special/discounted banner with Paid Currency only. Here’s the Rates:

 

Characters

• 3 Stars Pick-Up Hero:  Lynn 0.8%
• 3 Stars Hero: 2% (0.1149%)
• 2 Stars Hero: 19%
• 1 Stars Hero: 79%

 

Pity

• A 2 Stars Character is Guaranteed when you use the x10 Summon
• One Summon gives you 1 Mileage Point. At 200 Points you can Exchange 200 Mileage points for the Rate Up Character.
• The Mileage is NOT shared between different banners and will reset (Giving you VA Point)

 

Normal Recruit

 

The “Normal Recruit” is the Standard Banner in Outerplane. It features any character in the game but Lynn, the actual rate up. We also don’t know if Rate Up Character would join the Normal Recruit after the banner ends immediately, or with time. Here’s the Rates:

 

Characters

• 3 Stars Hero: 2% (0.1818%)
• 2 Stars Hero: 19%
• 1 Stars Hero: 79%

 

Pity

• A 2 Stars Character is Guaranteed when you use the x10 Summon
• One Summon gives you 1 Mileage Point. At 200 Points you can Exchange 200 Mileage points for the Rate Up Character (Shared with Rate Up Banner)
• The Mileage is NOT shared between different banners and will reset (Giving you VA Point)

Cons

• Characters Need Dupes Shards for Awakening (Star up)
• Auto Battle is free, but sweep need tickets
• There’s Free & Paid Currency (but for now there’s no Paid Banner Only)
• Low Currency Income from Daily Mission
• Pity is at 200 and not carry over between banners
