Punishing Gray Raven is an epic MMORPG game that has taken the gaming world by storm. Liv is one of the most interesting characters in the game because she consists of very distinct styles. This guide talks about B Liv Eclipse and why you should play her alongside some tips and tricks with synergies that help you improve. If you haven’t already, you can download Punishing Gray Raven for free on LDPlayer.
Liv Eclipse is a free base B Rank Support class character that deals physical damage and provides healing and grouping abilities for your team. And before someone asks, B Liv is not better or worse than A or S Liv performs slightly different roles. All structures are viable as long as you ascend them by farming shards. So, play who you like.
Her basic attacks deal physical damage from range. In essence, they deal 640% physical damage to a target at a range.
Her ultimate rain down beams onto enemies for 2 seconds. Each beam deals 70% physical damage.
Her QTE drops a healing zone with health regeneration scaling off her max HP and deals 200% physical damage. This is Liv’s main way of healing her team.
Her Core Passive, after activating a 3 orb combo, the next red orb will trigger a barrage of beams dealing 800% physical damage.
Liv Eclipse’s yellow orb groups enemies for three seconds, launching a black hole sucking in enemies and dealing up to 210% physical damage for 3 seconds, after which the orb explodes for up to 240% physical damage.
Her blue orb has Liv deploy a zone, dealing up to 300% physical damage and healing nearby allies by up to 120% of Liv’s attack and gains up to 48% physical damage for 5 seconds.
Her Red Orb deals a barrage of physical damage going up to 600% physical damage.
If Liv is set as the team leader, the entire team, including herself, gains 10% of their max HP. Here are her ascension bonuses:
SS: After using Liv’s ultimate, she gains 3 orbs.
SSS: When Liv is off-field, the active character gains +10% physical damage.
SSS+: After using Liv’s ultimate, the team gains +20% damage for 8 seconds.
Remember that all of Liv Eclipse’s shards can be farmed up to SSS+.
We use Liv Eclipse as a QTE Support for our team, meaning that she only pops on the field to heal with her QTE and to occasionally use her blue orb or to group enemies with her yellow orb. Most of the time, she wants to stay off the field due to her SSS ascension due to an increase with physical damage.
If she’s your main DPS, utilizing your yellow orb first to group enemies and following that up with her core passive to deal your laser barrage is critical in order to deal good damage. She’s also very squishy, so stay at range to avoid burst damage.
In essence, the way you use her should really be dependent on what you want out of her in the first place. Since she is mainly played as a support, she is therefore extremely reliant on her QTE, which is quite normal for Supports. So, you won’t be putting her on-field as much, which means that combat with Eclipse should remain fairly limited if done at all.
Therefore, it makes a lot of sense for a character like her to remain in the shadows, which is why I recommend perfecting your defensive positioning so that you can get a better grip on her.
You have one of the best SSS Passives in the game. However, it is only useful if you are off-field. Thankfully, your character entails for you to keep her off-field most of the time anyway. With a hefty 10% increase in Physical DPS, characters like S Lee can take a lot of advantage from the inherent buff and wreak havoc.
The only issue is that you’ll instantly find yourself dealing less physical DPS if you are up against anyone that is going for Elemental Damage or if B Liv is on the field for whatever reason.
Positioning is an integral part of playing squishy support characters, and B Liv is no exception. With a lack of overall survivability and the fact that she is extremely squishy, you’ll be having a hard time trying to find a good way for you to close in.
Higher rarity weapons on Liv Eclipse don’t matter as much if she’s played on the Support role compared to your main DPS getting a 6-star weapon. As for weapons, here’s a list of all of them:
Fish Mount: Grants you with Basic attack damage +10% with a max level of 35 and an attack of 38/213 with a crit rate of 20/131. It is a four-star weapon.
Guardian Mount: Gain 1 random signal orb for every 30 combos, 8 seconds cool down. It has a max level of 45 and an Attack of 42/336, and a Crit of 22/201. It is a five-star weapon.
Signature Weapon – Type Zero: Red orb damage +50%, Attack +15% for 5 second after 3 orb. Triggering the effect again refreshes the duration. It has a max level of 45 and an attack of 47/4015, and a Crit of 25/249. It is a six-star weapon.
Bendiction: After expending 12 orbs, damage +10% for 5 seconds to all allies within a 5m radius. Triggering the effect again refreshes the duration. Damage +10% towards imprisoned targets. It has a max level of 45 with an attack of 48/423 and a Crit of 24/245. It is a six-star weapon.
Dragon Wind: Basic attacks have a 10% chance of weakening enemies, reducing the Attack by 10% for 5 seconds. Triggering the effect again refreshes the duration, 10% chance of generating a signal orb when attacking weakened targets with a 6s cooldown. It has a max level of 45, an attack of 46/406, and a Crit of 25/253. It is a six-star weapon.
Liv Eclipse can be built in two different ways. Either as a QTE Support which is what most people run her as, or as a Main Damage Dealer. For a QTE Support builds, her primary six-star memory is the 4 piece Da Vinci where triggering a QTE also triggers the other off-field character’s QTE with an 8 second cool down.
Your attack will also increase by 20% when all characters are on the field. As for the last two slots, fill up the second with Philip or Guinevere works well.
So, you will either get Healing +10% with healed targets receiving Physical Damage and Defense +10% for 5s with an 8 seconds cool down or Healing +10% with Healed Targets receiving Elemental Damage and Resistance +10% for 5s with an 8 second cool down.
For a physical team in which Liv Eclipse is usually in, you will be going for either of these two sets for increased healing or heal attack to the target.
Alternatives can be the 4 piece Philip II set or the Gunivere set if you somehow need that much healing, and 2 Set Da Vinci for boss fights.
Two other sets you can use are either the 2 Set Samantha Healing +5% where Targets healed gain Elemental damage +8% for 4s with a 5 second cool down.
Moreover, you can head to the 2 Set Richelieu, which increases Healing +5% where targets healed gain Physical damage +8% for 4s, which stacks with Ferret II alongside a 5 second cool down. Remember, this is a temporary set, however.
If you are building Eclipse for Physical DPS, we recommend going for 2 Piece Barton and 2 Set Darwin, which provides you with a +5% Critical Rate and a +5% Physical Damage.
Moreover, when a critical hit is not triggered while dealing physical damage, the next physical attack gains 2% Critical Rate up to 20%. The stacks reset when a critical hit is triggered. Physical Damage for +5% for 3s when performing Critical Hits also goes up to 3 stacks whose duration can be refreshed.
Moreover, with Darwin, your Damage is increased by 3% for every orb expended and goes up to 5 stacks while triggering the effect also refreshes the cooldown. If you haven’t checked it out already, here’s our Beginner’s Guide for the game to help you get started!
B Liv synergizes well as support for physical damage dealers such as S Lee, B Lucia, or Alpha since her SSS passive increases physical damage when she is off the field. B Liv is also great with characters like Rosetta that will be the armor unit for physical teams.
Since you get Liv Eclipse for free, whether you should build her or not really depends on your situations and priorities. If you like her playstyle abilities, go build her. Every character in the game is technically viable; it’s a game, you are supposed to have fun. A and B base structures can ascend SSS just by farming shards.
For the people who like to care more about the meta and want to optimize more, Liv Eclipse is a stable member of a lot of physical teams because of her physical passive. If you are looking for a healer or buffer for a lightning team, A Liv is a better choice.
Whereas, if you want better healing and survivability in Co-Op, S Liv is a better choice, but not by a huge margin. You can also take a look at our Tier List for Punishing: Gray Raven to get an idea about all the characters in the game!
Liv Eclipse has certainly lived up to her name in terms of supporting prowess and raw power. As the game continues to evolve, the meta will too. However, we feel like Eclipse will always remain a staple to any Physical DPS team due to her powerful SSS passive.
