SnowBreak: Containment Zone - Game review & Gacha Rates

As soon as the game starts, you wake up on a spaceship that seems to be collapsing soon, with the last strength on your body, you reach the Escape Suit and you will be launched into a planet. Here, Lyfe, will be the one that rescues you from the Escape Pod. After opening the Escape Pod, she will check the Biometric Data from you, confirming you are the one she will be searching. After rescuing you, she will accompany you to the medical center for some examination. Here, Caroline, will help you check the status of your body. You discover in your body there's a “Deiwos”, some sort of Nerves Host that will enhance your physical and mental ability, but also make you have fragmented memories of your past. After the meeting with Caroline, you will finally meet the boss, “T”. She will explain to you that you are an “Adjutant”, and your role from now on is to help and direct the “Heimdall Force”. Here starts your  adventure in the world of Snowbreak: Containment zone! 

What is Snowbreak: Containment Zone?

Snowbreak: Containment Zone is a new Third Person Shooter Gacha game. In this game you’ll play up to three different characters at the same time (switching between them, also using special Support Skill and Ultimate). Each Character in the game has a different weapon that also determines his/her role (Submachine Gun, Assault Rifle, Sniper Rifle, Shotgun, Pistol) while also possessing unique ability (1 active Skill, An Ultimate and a Supportive Skill). The game offers a variety of PvE content, with both single player and multiplayer stages. You will start the game playing in the Main Story, after completing some chapters, you will be able to unlock Daily Content, Daily and Weekly Quest, Cooperative Stages (GigaLink), Housing System for your Character (Base), Dispatch Missions and much more. If you like third person shooters with also Gacha Element for new Characters and Weapon, Snowbreak: Containment zone is the game for you!

Game Content

Main Story

At the start of the game, you will be able to play only the Main Story content. In this game mode, you need to complete stages with required objectives (Ex: No operative force withdraw, Have no more than 1 retreat, complete within 300 Seconds etc) to unlock additional rewards. During the Main story you will be able to obtain goodies such as Digicash (Gems), Combat Records (Exp Items), SilverBuck (Golds) etc. Completing the Main Story will also unlock all the content in the game. Challenging stages in Normal (or Hard later on) difficulty cost Stamina. 

Combat Training

The “Combat Training” game mode will teach you all the basics of the game, like how to use Support skill, Part Break etc. Completing the Combat Training will reward you with Gems, so don’t forget to complete all Combat Training Stages!

Operation

The “Operation” game mode is unlocked after you complete the Main Story Chapter 2-5. With this game mode you unlock your Daily Farming Stages.
Pot of Plenty

• In the Pot of Plenty stages you can collect SilverBuck and account exp. Stages have different difficulty, with also different stamina cost

Black Market

• In the Black Market stages you can obtain Exp items and account exp. Stages have different difficulty with different stamina cost

Peacemaker

• The Peacemaker stages let you collect Weapon Exp material. Same as others Daily stages you have different difficulty and stamina cost

Remember to Farm the items you need on Daily stages to increase the power of your Characters and Weapons.

Personal File

Every time you obtain a new Character in the game, you will also unlock the corresponding personal file. In this game mode you can discover the Character background, obtain characters Extraction (Shards) and complete Special Mission. You will recharge 12 Personal File Entry Tickets each day, so consume them before the Daily reset to unlock all the Personal File stages!

Gigalink

The “Gigalink” game mode lets you Cooperate with other players to complete a stage. In this game mode you will choose only 1 Characters instead of 3, and you will not be able to use Support Skills from other characters. Completing Gigalink stages reward you with Neural Connection Point. Reaching enough points will unlock a lot of rewards, such as Character Exp Items, Golds, Summon Tickets Etc. Try to collect all rewards before the reset time.

Characters & Weapons

Characters

Each new Character obtained in the game must be improved to increase its max potential. Keep in mind that the maximum level of your Character is also bound to your Account Level, so to increase the max level of your character you need to complete Daily/Weekly Mission, Stages etc to obtain Account Exp. Let’s see how to improve your characters and make the stronger:

Character Classes

• Pistol = Medium Range, Slow Rate of Fire, Very fast reload and High precision

• Shotgun = Low Range, Slow Rate of Fire, Very Slow Reload, High burst damage 

• Submachine Gun = Medium Range, High rate of Fire, High Reload Speed, High Attack and Crit Damage

• Assault Rifle = Medium range, High Rate of Fire, Medium Reload Speed with Very High Damage and Crit Damage increased

• Sniper = Very Long Range, Slow rate of fire, Medium Reload Speed, Very High Single Target Damage and Crit Damage 

Level Up

• You can improve your Character level by completing stages and also give them Combat Records (Exp Items)

Manifestation

• After you obtain Characters Shards (Extraction) while farming stages or Obtaining Characters Dupes, you will be able to unlock Manifestation levels. Each level of Manifestation will unlock both Passive Bonuses (HP, ATK, DEF etc) while also New and Improved version of Character Skills

Weapons

The Weapons in the game have the same importance as Characters, since the strength of Characters also come from good Weapons. The Weapons you can obtain in the game come with different Elements and unique Skills. Let’s check them:

Weapon Element

• Each Weapon can have Chaos, Electrical, Kinetic, Frost and Thermal. Matching the Element of Weapon with the Element of Characters increase them damage

Weapon Skill

• Weapons with Orange and Purple Rarity come with Special Skill. Those skills can improve damage, increase stats or give special abilities. Always check new Weapons Skill to improve your Characters

Weapon Level Up

• Same as Characters, Weapons must be leveled up. You can use Augmentation Kit to increase Weapons Level, and also Particles to unlock further levels of weapons.

Battle Assembly

The “Battle Assembly” banner is the first and Special one banner you will have in the game. In this banner you can summon up to 50 times, with a Guaranteed Orange Rarity Character between 50 pulls. You can summon on this banner with both 8x Operative Recruitment Chit (Tickets) or 1280 DigiCash (Gems), both discounted from 10x / 1600. You can obtain both Characters and Weapons. Here’s the rates:

Characters

• Orange Rarity = 0.7% (2.33% Including Guaranteed)

• Purple Rarity = 8% (13.29% Including Guaranteed)

Weapons

• Blue Rarity = 91.30% (84.38% Including Guaranteed)

Pity

• You are Guaranteed to obtain at least 1 Purple Tier Character every 10 pulls

• You are Guaranteed to obtain at least 1 Orange Tier Character at 50 Pulls

Kaguya’s Game

The “Kaguya’s Game” banner is the First Rate Up Banner you will have in the game. In this banner you can summon consuming 1x/10x Manifestation Echo Covenant (Tickets) or 160/1600 DigiCash (Gems). You can obtain both Characters and Weapons. Here’s the rates:

Characters

• Orange Rarity = 0.7% (1.86% Including Guaranteed)

• Purple Rarity = 8% (14.68% Including Guaranteed)

Weapons

• Blue Rarity = 91.30% (83.46% Including Guaranteed)

Pity

• You are Guaranteed to obtain at least 1 Purple Tier Character every 10 pulls

• You are Guaranteed to obtain at least 1 Orange Tier Character at 80 Pulls. If the obtained Orange Tier Character is not the one on rate up, the next Orange Tier Character is Guaranteed to be the Rate Up one.

Noctilucent Horizon

The “Noctilucent Horizon” banner is the Second Rate Up Banner you will have in the game. In this banner you can summon consuming 1x/10x Weapon Modding Agreement (Tickets) or 160/1600 DigiCash (Gems). You can only obtain Weapons in this banner. Here’s the rates:

Weapons

• Orange Rarity = 0.7% (2.37% Including Guaranteed)

• Purple Rarity = 8% (14.68% Including Guaranteed)

• Blue Rarity = 91.30% (82.95% Including Guaranteed)

Pity

• You are Guaranteed to obtain at least 1 Purple Tier Weapon every 10 pulls

• The Camera movement feel a bit strange

• The Character animation are somehow “woody”

• There’s some FPS drops here and there

• Characters requires a lot of Dupes
