Saturation This controls the steering sensitivity. Reduce this setting to decrease how far you have to steer to turn the car. Depending on your vehicle, your saturation should be set to 51°. Steering Linearity This controls the consistency of the steering sensitivity. When linearity is set to 0, the steering will respond consistently throughout the full turning arc. Increasing this setting reduces the steering sensitivity at the center of its turning arc and increases it at the edges. You should set your Steering Linearity to 0.07°. The Deadzone, Saturation, and Steering Linearity all differ depending on the controls you’re using to play. If you’re playing with Tilt controls, then the above settings should help you handle your car just fine. However, if you’re using Wheel Touch or Arrow Touch controls, then you have to make separate adjustments for them as well. The same thing applies to Gamepads. Using ‘Reverse’ During Race Grid Autosport offers a unique Reverse feature, which allows you to rewind time in the middle of a race and fix any mistakes you might’ve made. The feature was implemented to help Rookie players and newbies struggling with winning races become better and taste victory early on before getting to a stage where the Reverse feature will be disabled. While this feature makes the game look easy and sort of like a chest, it doesn’t really impact the gameplay in any way unless you choose to use it. There are also difficulty levels that limit the amount of Reverse that you can use. For instance, when playing the veteran difficulty, you’re allowed up to about 3 Reverses. And when playing the Master difficulty, there are no Reverses allowed in most of the races, which puts your skills to the ultimate test. Always stick to your Preferred Camera mode Grid Autosport offers several options of camera modes in races, and you can choose from any amongst of the 4-5 options available. Choosing your preferred camera mode is important because changing this too often might make you lose a race if you’re not careful. We recommend using the default camera mode as seen above; this mode allows you to get a better and complete view of your car and your opponent’s cars as well. You can also choose from other camera modes in the game. Nevertheless, different cars are better handled when they’re driven in certain camera modes. After being a massive hit on PC, Grid Autosport was launched on mobile devices and became the most graphically advanced racer on the mobile platform. In Grid Autosport, it's all about the teams, the rivals, and the intense races that take place in a new world of professional motorsport and satisfy team sponsors in Career mode by winning ferocious races with the best cars. There's a lot to admire in Grid Autosport, and there's almost morning negative we can say about it. So in this article, while praising the game's realistic visuals and handling, we also point out its negative aspects in our Grid Autosport review. You have to do one race, and more sponsors will start looking for you, sponsors like Razer, Intel, BMW, etc. Some of the race categories in the Career Mode also have a video preview that's very interesting to watch and gives you a brief introduction of what to expect in the race category you're about to enter. The idea of training before each race in the career mode is also great because it allows players to become familiar with the tracks before the main race commences. So if you've always wanted to play a racing game with a career mode that will take you quite a time spoke to complete and involves real-life sponsors and tons of features, then you should give this game a try. Custom Mode Another feature we totally love in this game is the Custom Mode. If you want to be in control for a while and experience setting up your very own race rules and difficulty, you can do that in custom mode. Race in day or night weather, customize your difficulty, select a desirable map, set the amount of laps, or just randomize the whole thing to your preference. In custom mode, you're in control. The Bad Awful control adjustments "Grid Autosport was designed to be difficult" is one of the first tutorial tips you'll come across in this game, and it's the most sincere sentence in all the game. Grid Autosport is indeed a difficult game. Unlike some racing games that give you the option to enable features as auto accelerate and auto brakes, Grid Autosport does not offer these features. Players can only use auto accelerate in Rookie and Professional difficulties. Difficulty levels such as Veteran and Master do not have auto accelerate or auto brake options that give you complete control of your car, making the game incredibly difficult as the slightest mistake could make you lose a race. So while this isn't a negative aspect of the game, not everybody enjoys having to retry particular race tens of times and still not be able to pass it and be unable to change the difficulty. If you don't plan to play on Grid Autosport for a long time, you should stick to the easier levels, but if you wish to play to the point of Master difficulty, then your driving skills shall be tested. Terrible Vehicle Handling Another part of giving you complete control of your vehicle also extends to handling. A lot of vehicles in Grid Autosport have terrible handling that just makes them lose control with the slightest of turn. And the game's control adjustments aren't very helpful when properly adjusting the car handling to your preferred control type. Some vehicles with solid grip have no problems at all, but most of them do. And while this isn't exactly a problem for someone who knows how to set the control adjustments, it will frustrate many players who don't understand how it works. Rear View Camera Could Have Been Better Compared to other racing games like Real Racing 3, the rear-view camera in Grid Autosport could've been better. Some of the light sports cars actually have great rear-views, but most cars have a kind of blurish rear-view that I wouldn't exactly call realistic. Career Like the PC version, Career mode is one of the most exciting modes in any sports game. Mobile players get to experience a realistic and intense career mode in Grid Autosport by playing through seasons after seasons and collaborating with real-life sponsors such as Razer, Intel, RedBull, and many others. To kick off a season, you will be required to choose a discipline like the type of category you prefer. Disciplines are not the games' difficulty but more like the cars and tracks that will be used. The custom cup consists of the same race modes found in the quick race section of the game, such as Race, Time Attack, Endurance, Eliminator, Checkpoint, Demolition derby, Drift, and Drag. You can choose any map, track, car, or even go with day or night. You are in complete control of the game in Custom Cup. Time Trial As the name goes, the time trial is where you must race against time and try to cross the finish line just in time before the timer hits zero. Players will also have to choose a discipline before starting a time trial race as well. Game Difficulty First of all, before getting into the details of the games' difficulty, "Grid Autosport was designed to be difficult." These words are coming from the game instructions themselves, which means despite the difficulty level you set the game, it may not matter as some cars might either be too hard to control or some tracks have too many unexpected sharp turns. With that out of the way, here are the difficulty levels of Grid Autosport: Rookie This mode is for players handling the brakes for the first time, those with little to no racing game experience. Veteran From here, it gets close to impossible, but if you are as good as you think you are, then this is where you can prove yourself in a corner only tracks, no race line, and you'll be pitted against expert AI opponents. If you win any race, you get a 24% XP bonus. Master Everything goes in this difficulty. It is simply impossible to win a race in the regulations of master difficulty where you'll be up against veteran level AI drivers, sharp corner tracks, night whether, and complete manual control of your car. Winning a race in this difficulty gives you a 38% XP bonus. Can you do it? Can you flow with the Grid? Because you will have to at some point. Custom Custom difficulty lets you play any race with custom controls set however you want. If you want to customize your racing experience, then this feature is for you. You can change the AI difficulty level, Handling assist, Damage level, Traction control, and others. DLC (Downloadable Content) You won't find this feature in most mobile games because it usually only comes as a feature for PC and Console games. DLC allows players to download additional game data that adds more features, modes, or items to the game apart from the existing ones. In Grid Autosport, you can download certain game packs in the form of DLC such as Black Edition Pack, Boost pack, Touring Legends pack, Sprint pack, Best of British pack, and Drag racing pack as stated above. These mentioned packs each have the respective features that they add to the game after downloading them. Then there's the HD Textures pack which involves DLCs such as Touring HD textures, Endurance HD textures, Open Wheel textures, Tuner HD textures, Street HD textures, and Party Mode textures.
