In this Evony The King's Return guide, we'll be teaching you the basics of the game's currencies, how event packs work, and how Generals can be of service to your cause and help protect your kingdom. So without wasting further time, let's dive in. Gold and how to get them While gold isn't the most important currency in the game, it's definitely one of the most critical resources that you can get your hands on. The main use of gold is to upgrade your Generals and make them more powerful. Your troops safeguard your kingdom; they're proving to your enemies that this kingdom isn't afraid of a fight. However, while having troops can serve as protection, you can easily lose all of them. On the other hand, generals are great at reserving power, and if they are killed in battle, you'll simply have to wait for 24hrs to get them back. And if you're in a hurry, you can spare as much as 1k gems to revive them instantly. There are many to acquire gold in the game, but the four main ways we recommend are: Collecting Gold from Daily Activities. There are lots of daily activities that you can access from the tavern. And if you complete them, you'll be rewarded with gold as well as some other resources. The amount of Gold reward increases based on your tavern level. Levying Gold from your Keep. You are rewarded with a certain amount of free gold each day for simply logging into the game and visiting the gold levy. If you want to earn more, you can decide to spend the rewards you get from logging in on levying and acquiring more. Lower ranked cities also give you gold about every hour, which goes directly to your warehouse. If you want to squeeze them for more, you can simply set the cities on 'economic mode' and collect extra. Goblin! While this is considered the most time-consuming way of getting gold, it pays off handsomely. You can roam the map and kill goblins for gold. Depending on the level of the goblin, you'll be rewarded accordingly. Killing level 1 goblins rewards you with 100k gold; level 4 goblins, on the other hand, get you 200k gold after killing them. Killing them is easier said, but an army with at least 190k strength should be able to handle a level 4 goblin. Goblins don't only drop gold after you kill them; they can also drop honor and experience points. Unlike other mobs that drop basic items after you kill them, goblins are special as they drop unique items, making them a fantastic choice for farming. And remember, higher-level goblins offer more rewards. And if you're a newbie in the game, killing goblins and picking up their rewards is one of the fastest ways to progress faster in the game. Using Event Packs Whenever the game has a special event underway, they'll be massive discount sales on selected items from the event screen. You can check out the game's event center, where you can choose an event of your choice, and you'll find a cheap event pack that you can purchase. The pack prices increase as time passes, and if you purchase a few $5 packs, it'll seem like double the value with more resources. But if you purchase a few of them, then the best packs climb on to $20, $50, and up to $100. Anyhow, the event packs are a nice way of gathering resources and spending real money on valuable items in the game. Of course, not everyone likes to take out their Credit cards, but Evony The King's Return is one of those games that sort of forces you to do so, but for good reason, of course. Generals explained Generals are powerful leaders who lead your troops to battle and help you win resources, destroy monsters and battle them out against foes. You can recruit or add Generals to your troops by visiting the tavern and other subordinate cities. Note that you can only unlock subordinate cities after you've upgraded your Keep to level 11. Think of subordinate cities as outposts that help you increase your empire's overall strength. Generals also come in different varieties. There are Legendary, Epic, Rare, Uncommon, and Common Generals. Similarly, they also have varying strengths and weaknesses that heavily depend on the general and the rarity. Generals with higher rarity, such as Legendary and Epic, are much more powerful than lower ones such as Common and Uncommon. It also helps to know that Generals come from separate lands with 4 primary attributes – Attack, Leadership, Politics, and Defence. By specializing in different attributes, generals possess extra stats in certain aspects based on their history. Attack – This increases your troop's attacking efficiency. Leadership – This increases your troop's march speed and their overall HP. Politics – This increases the speed for gathering resources and the death of your troops to injury rate. Defence – This increases your troop's defense level towards enemy attacks. We advise carefully going through each generals' history to know how to place them during battles. Generals differ, and times you may want to assign them to separate tasks. Some generals are more efficient in defending than attacking. Some are more suited to farm and help you collect resources. The game also allows you to dress up your Generals by equipping them with boots, weapons, clothes, pants, rings, and other wearables. Ultimately, you can improve your Generals by equipping them with powerful items and training them every now and then, which will eventually increase the overall stats of your general and make them more powerful and capable of leading your troops to war. Conclusion That's it for our Evony The King's Return guide on the game's currencies, event packs, and Generals. We hope the guide has been helpful in some way, and as you play and level up, you'll see yourself discovering guides and tricks of your own.

Evony: The King's Return is a game that allows you to create and build your very own civilization empire and command troops, challenge other empires, build walls, raise an army, and ultimately, create a civilization, and become the most formidable ruler of your empire. The game also requires you to battle other players in real-time strategy PvP as you can either become allies or enemies. An interesting part of the game is that you can recruit world-famous leaders and generals of the past, such as Julius Caesar, Abraham Lincoln, Genghis Khan, and many others. In this second edition of our guide, we'll be helping through how they can build their walls, use speedups, understand the game's currencies, etc. So without wasting any more time, let's get into it. Building overview Like in many other strategy games where you have to fight to protect your kingdom, buildings are an important part of Evony: The King's Return as well. Buildings allow you to build powerful troops, collect resources faster, and overall help you improve your empire. Building new buildings and upgrading existing ones require you to have a lot of resources. You might even be promoted to meet certain requirements before you are allowed to upgrade some of your buildings. So, the higher the level of your buildings, the more resources you'll collect from them and the stronger they'll become. Below is a detailed overview of some of the game's most important buildings that you should upgrade first and foremost: Wall What's more important than the wall that acts as the line of defense protecting you and your empire from enemy attacks? That's right. Your wall is one of the first buildings you should upgrade. And you even perform several activities such as collecting gifts and patrolling the area for suspicious activity. Upgrading your empire's wall will increase the overall defense HP and the total capacity of your traps. If you've noticed that foes are dominating your cities easily and too often, then now you know what you must do. Keep The Keep is just as important as your wall, perhaps even more important. This is the giant castle that's built at the center of your empire. The Keep's level is always and will always be higher than that of every other building. If you want to upgrade buildings that have reached or nearly reached the same level as your Keep, you'd have to level up your Keep as well. Leveling up your Keep lets you unlock new buildings, increase the amount of your gold levy, general capacity, and many more. However, upgrading your Keep can take quite some time to complete. But afterward, it'll be totally worth it. Academy This is where you can research for upgrades. It's an essential building that is also very vital to your progression because it lets you increase your empire's strength by using powerful upgrades. So if you want to progress faster, you should concentrate on upgrading the Academy and using it more often. Rally Spot This is where you can multiply or increase the size of your army, which also increases their total strength. Before you start a fight, explore the land or attack an enemy base, we advise that you first try and upgrade your soldiers through the Rally Spot. Markets This is where you can purchase various types of resources. You can also check back at the market daily to find new inclusions on certain resources that will be useful to you. You will also discover the Black Market in this building, where you'll receive special offers that you wouldn't want to miss. Embassy This is also an important building that needs upgrading because you can agree and accept reinforcement from your allies when your city is being attacked. If enemies are attacking your empire often, utilizing the embassy's support will go a long way to help you. Understanding the different types of Troops There are many types of Troops in the game that you can recruit from various empires, such as Japanese Archers and Arabian Knights. Each troop comes with its own strengths and weakness, so by spending time in the game and progressing through the stages, you'll be able to discover the combination of troops that suits your style of play. However, diversifying your army is strongly advised, regardless of how much training your troops have been through. Having troops from diverse regions helps conquer enemies better than having troops from a single troop. Below is the complete list of the game's types of troops: Archer Ballista Battering Ram Cataphract Catapult Cavalry Pikeman Scout Swordsman Transporter Troops Warrior Worker Using Speed-Ups to Progress Faster Players will be able to receive lots of Speedups that they can use in Evony, regardless of whether they are playing for free or spending real money in the game. Speedups are critical resources, but the game tends to waste them by default. For instance, if you have, say 24 minutes of research, you get to speed up, and select 20 minutes of speedup, you'll be left with 4. If you're low on Speedups, you can also request help from members of your alliance to spare a few minutes. You should save your Speedups and avoid automatically speeding up items because the game might just automatically speed up different items right after. Additionally, your monarch can also put on a crown that speeds up things by a certain percentage. These are remarkable because they can take you up from nothing to a permanent 10 or 20% reduction on construction for as little as 600-800 gems. The same thing applies to troop training and research. Conclusion Well, there you have it. Our gameplay guides of Evony: The King's Return were written to allow you to understand some of the game's basic concepts and features that if you're not familiar with strategy games with real-time PVP, you may find it hard to get around. We hope our guide and tips and tricks have been helpful to you in your journey of conquest and the will to fight for peace and protect your empire by battling enemies and forming alliances.
