News and Guides for Island Hoppers: Jungle Farm

Island Questaway Tips and Tricks to energy bars, managing inventory

Island Questaway is a fun new adventure game that takes you deep into a huge island where you must try to survive the traps and impediments that nature will throw at you.   The game starts with an exciting storyline that requires you to find your missing brother, but upon reaching his house and finding a later written for you by him, you realize he is missing, and you embark on a quest to find him.    The game doesn’t allow you to get more resources by watching ads, which is unusual considering it’s an online game, but that also means the in-app purchases will be pretty expensive. So if you’re thinking of playing this game without actually spending any real money, it might not be as easy as you imagined.   So in this article, we’ll be giving you some beneficial tips and tricks for Island Questawaythatllt see you gather resources faster, level up quicker, and ultimately enjoy the game much better. So without further ado, here are the tips and tricks for Island Questaway.    Use Your Energy Bars Wisely The game’s energy is arguably the most vital resource in this game because your next step will depend on the number of energy bars you have left to spare. These are the blue Shazam-like icon at the top middle of your screen, and a certain amount is required each time you want to clear a path.    When starting, clearing paths usually takes about 3-6 energy bars to complete, but as you progress, you will have to spend more of your bars to clear specific tasks. So think about running out of energy bars; it means you’ll be stuck in a particular area unless you can spend real money on more energy bars or spend some gems to get them.   There are only a few ways to manage your gem, but we’ll give you the most effective way: Not Clearing Every Path.   Island Questaway is one of the best ways to your energy bars, so you don’t spend them frivolously by clearing all the paths in your area. At the same time, it may seem that the game wants you to clear as many paths as you can to access certain areas; you don’t have to.    As you progress towards your quest, they’ll be things happening around you, even outside of your main quest, things that’ll make you want to abandon your actual quest and check them out instead, but you shouldn’t. These can be other side quests. So try as much as you can not spend energy bars on any irrelevant path that needs clearing.     Focus on your Main Quests Just as stated above, there are surrounding quests in this game, and you should focus on them to avoid wasting all of your resources and prolonging level-up opportunities.    The main quests usually revolve around the game’s story, so only focus your attention on that and try to get as much completed as you can to level up fast and speed on the game in no time.   Focusing on these main quests also lets you get back lots of energy bars. For instance, after you’ve used a certain amount of energy bars that you feel you might even run out, whenever you achieve a major discovery or unlock something big, you’ll be rewarded with jars of energy bars that will help you refill the lost ones.      Manage Your Inventory Wisely Your little inventory bag might appear small, but it can carry many important items. These are items you get by clearing paths; they can be woods, food, and even rocks.    Items in your inventory are categorized into four. There are farming items, resources such as food, construction items such as wood and rocks, and special items. Another exciting thing about your inventory is that you can continue collecting and saving items without buying another bag or space.    For instance, collecting one wood means you have a lot for woods. So once you collect more woods, they won’t take up any new space in your inventory bag, but they’ll be added to the already existing wood slot. So if you had 1, you’d have 5 or 10, and so on. It is the same for every other equipment as well.      Zoom Out the Camera for a Better View Not many games let you do this, but you can zoom in and out of the game’s camera, giving you a very close view of the island or a bird view from above. We suggest using the view from above to view a large chunk of the island as you’ll be able to see many areas you haven’t yet explored.    Island Questaway also lets you easily see or know where your next target is, and if you’re starting the game, using this feature will simply show the majority of the island to be covered in clouds. Still, as you progress further down the line, you’ll be able to unlock a vast area in the island where the feature will become much more useful.      Collect your Daily Bonuses and Solving Puzzles Since this game doesn’t allow you to earn resources by watching ads, collecting your daily rewards is one of the easiest ways to get free resources. This isn’t to say that the rewards contain a lot, but if you’re struggling to manage resources or get more without spending real money, then you should always collect your daily rewards.      And lastly, there are two types of puzzles in this game, and the first one you’ll stumble upon is an actual puzzle where you’ll have to remove a bunch of keys to make way or the second one that’ll require you to reassemble a torn map. The other type of puzzle is in-game, such as disabling a booby trap, these types are more complicated, but they unlock better items and offer better level-up rewards afterward.

Island Questaway Review - A fine puzzle adventure that deserves your time

Island Questaway is a brand new puzzle adventure game that takes you into the world of Emily, an adventurer who embarks on a quest to find her brother. On this journey, she encounters natural setbacks from shipwrecks to thunderstorms, forcing her and her partner to wound up on an Island.    The game has an interesting and complicated story. It revolves around the many hidden secrets of an ancient civilization on a hidden island, alongside family drama in intricately and nicely designed farm tale landscapes.    So in this article, we’ll be giving you our frank review of Island Questaway, which mostly involves positive aspects as the game does well to kick out any negative side that’ll push players away. So without further ado, let’s dive into the review.      The Good   Interesting Story   In Island Questaway, you’ll play Emily, a female adventurer who has sailed to an island in hopes of finding her beloved brother. On this journey, she is tangled in several exhilarating activities. When she finally got to her brother’s house, he was nowhere to be found, but he left a letter for Emily.    After reading the contents of the letter, Emily must now embark on a quest to find her missing brother as she explores the vast island. She tries to develop the family’s farm, get to know the locals in the area, and most importantly, find her missing brother on a vast island filled with unexpected dangers.      Gameplay – A Fine Adventure   The gameplay is commendable because it offers a mix of farming, puzzle-solving, and exploring a whole island. Its intricate story sees your character go through various dangers and mishaps at just about every corner of the island.    You also own a gigantic estate located at the ocean shore that you can always visit and manage. You can decorate it as you want and furnish it with fine-looking items as you make in the game’s main story quests.    The puzzles are also very interesting. They seem pretty simple to complete at first, but they become more and more challenging as you progress. There are various types of puzzles to complete in many locations; from reassembling torn maps to unlocking doors, you won’t get bored with the puzzles in this game.    And then there are the mysteries that you will come across and wonder what happened to this paradise-like island many years ago? How did the entire civilization disappear? And what dangers lurk in ruins? You will solve all of these mysteries as you explore further into the island and progress in the story. The gameplay offers a ton of things to do while exploring; there’s even a treasure hunt feature as well.      Graphics and Visuals    The graphics and visuals in this game are simply stunning. A fine and colorful touch gives it a captivating look that captures everything in great detail. The trees, roots, rocks, fruits, bridges, and grass all look gorgeous even when gazing at them from afar by zooming out the camera, and you can get a much closer look by bringing the camera very close.    The visuals are well made that it brightens up the game, and it just looks very cool and stands out from similar titles of its genre. The action sequences also stand out, such as watching Emily fix a broken bridge, break a rock to clear a path, or jump around after completing a major quest.      Controls and Soundtrack    Like most puzzle adventure games, the controls only involves tapping and clicking most of the time, and in this game, there are lots of tapping because you’ll have to clear paths to get to your next destination, which is petty much one of the things you’ll find yourself doing for most parts of this game.   The camera zoom feature is another area where the game’s control comes in handy. You can zoom in to get a closer look at something or zoom out to get a bird view of the island, which is an impressive addition to the game’s features.    The soundtrack is nice as well because you can hear the crushing of the rocks as Emily tries to clear paths using her Pickaxe or the sound of wood as she uses an axe to cut through a tree that’s blocking her path. When it rains on the island, you could also hear the perfect storm sound as it rains and the thunderstorms.    The Bad    Expensive store items   Island Questaway can only be played online, and while this is understandable, the game does do enough to give players different ways to acquire in-game resources. There are no ads to watch for resources, and the store items are expensive, to say the least.   Since players are given a certain amount of energy bars at certain stages of the game, they are less of an issue to get. But gems and gold coins are hard to come by, especially gems. If you want gems, you have to spend real money at the store.    The developers should’ve implemented an ad section that allows players to watch ads and get gems, but this isn’t the case. And there isn’t a feature that allows you to sell your inventory items for gold or even gems. And while this is just the game’s first update, we hope these changes will be implemented in future updates to give players the best possible experience.      Verdict There’s a lot to admire in island Questaway because, unlike other games in its genre, this one offers an interesting story, a vast and beautiful island, and adorably crafted characters. The little cons in this game don’t take away anything from the game’s captivating gameplay.   You don’t have to be a fan of puzzle adventure games to want to play this one. If you’re aching for an adventure on a vast island filled with mysteries, then you should give this game a try.

Island Questaway Beginner's Guide to the game story and basic concepts

Island Questaway is a new casual puzzle game from developers Nexters Global LTD. The game introduces you to two very interesting characters who appear to be on a boat but were shipwrecked and had to make a stop on a nearby island.    There are lots of tapping in this game as you’ll be required to clear paths in pretty much every location you find yourself. So in this detailed but brief beginner’s guide, we’ll be showing and helping you understand the game’s concepts, controls as well as the story.    Understanding the Gameplay At the start of this game, you will find yourself in a shipwreck which you must try to get out of by all means. After your hull’s been breached, you will need to tap on the woods as seen to clear the path and escape to avoid drowning.   Once you’re out, you’ll see your partner in need of help. Tap on him to reduce him, and he’ll suggest you both take a boat and escape before it sinks. After escaping with the boat, you’ll find yourself on an unknown island, which happens to be where your brother, Jonathan, is living.      Clearing paths Now it’s up to you to scour around the island and seek out shelter and food fast. Since you’re on an Island, there’ll be many items such as tree branches, boxes, special flowers, rocks, etc., that will block your path many times. You’ll have to clear the paths to progress, and sometimes you’ll need certain items to clear paths.    The path clearing is one of the interesting and not so interesting paths of the game because while clearing a path might seem fun and adventure-like at first, it can become too much in this game, but hey, it’ll only get better as you progress.      Puzzles Starting, the early puzzles you’ll stumble upon are pretty simple. You twist and turn or remove certain items, and it’s done. While some of these puzzles might be complicated to pass at once, they’re not all that difficult to complete, and they make the game more challenging than it seems.    Without the puzzles, there’s no challenge on the island. And you’ll easily become bored with clearing paths. But since it’s an island, the puzzles signify that humans have been and are still here. And there are areas you will need to access but must complete the puzzles to gain access.      Using Energy Bars This is your first quest on the island – locating the hart farm. You need food, shelter, and dry clothes, so you’ll have to get there fast to avoid being stroked by lightning as it is still raining.    You will have to clear a ton of paths to get to the island, where Energy bars come in. A certain amount of energy is required to clear a path in this game. It is placed on the middle top of your screen with a Shazam-shaped blue icon.    You’ll be given a certain number of them to start with but be careful not to exhaust all of them; otherwise, you’ll be stranded on a remote island. It could either lead to you spending gems or coins on buying new energy bars, spending real money, or re-installing the game and using the energy bars wisely this time.    The good thing about spending these energy bars is that they give you something in return. If you use a certain amount of energy bars to clear a path, you’ll be given fruits, wood, meat, and other items after clearing the path.    You will stumble on impediments that will require you to build certain items. For instance, if you have to pass a broken bridge, you’ll be required to find wood and strong ropes to fix the bridge before you can pass. Often you may even need to find an axe to cut a fallen tree in order to pass or a pickaxe to break a rock. Gathering these items will require energy bars, so use them wisely.      Refilling Energy Bars Unlike other games, this game doesn’t exactly let you search or try to refill your energy bars by collecting them like other items and equipment. Your energy bar is restored after you’ve accomplished a milestone. For instance, the game starts with you being stranded on an island; you then have to find your brother by locating his house on the island.    Locating his house is now your priority quest; after finding his house, all the energy you used along the way will be refunded to get you ready for the next quest.    Managing your Inventory Your inventory is one of the best perks you have on a stranded island, and unlike some games that’ll require you to drop one item before being able to carry another, there are plenty of slots to fit in tons of items in this game.    Another good thing is that items you’ve found once will remain in your inventory until you decide what to do with them whenever you want. Tools such as axe, pickaxe, ropes, shovels, etc. will always remain in your inventory as you’ll need them almost every time. There are also no existing pickups for items. Meaning that if you have a particular item in your inventory, you can still pick up that same item and add to it instead of just ignoring it when you find it.      Conclusion There’s a lot to admire in Island Questaway, and if you’re starting out with the game, you’ll notice the depth of the adventure the developers have planned for you. There’s a lot to explore and a lot to remove from your path on a gigantic island.    Lastly, you can even focus on two different tasks simultaneously. The story plays out like a movie, there are other characters, and there’s you. So while these characters are acting out, you’re also trying to complete quests which can sometimes involve chasing them around the island.
