About the Game
The Great War Rivals is a Strategy game where you get to Choose a Side between Allied Powers (France, Britain, Russia, Italy, Japan, and the United States) and Central Powers (Germany, The Ottoman Empire, Bulgaria, Austria-Hungary, along with their Colonies). Build Your Military base, command your troops, Build your alliance or join one, Work your way to the top of the military rankings by completing missions and Save your base from bandits and enemy troops. Getting Started
The game is available on both Android and iOS, so once you have installed it, the first thing you need to do is Choose Your Side – Allied Powers or Central Powers. As Already mentioned, which countries are involved so you can choose your side, and if you wish to change your side for any reason, you can do so in-between game. Yes, you get to change sides during the game.
Once You Choose a Side, You will get an Advisor (for the game's tutorial). The advisor will be one of the leaders depending upon which side you choose. After that, You go deep into enemy territory to scout or Attack the enemy to establish a foothold there. You get to lead the charge.
After getting hold of enemy territory, you will be asked to Build your Military base for future base operations. For that, You will be asked to build:
Farm
Oil Refinery – to provide oil for the base
Training Camp – for training & Hosting Your troops
Cement Factory – To provide Cement for base
Hospitals – To cure troops
You choose the option "Build FREE," as the tutorial shows you. Although These tasks take some time to accomplish as they have a certain timer, you can speed up the process by using "Gold" available to you. You can also follow the tutorial for other options.
Once you have completed the tutorial, which is necessary and easy to understand, you will start with your first Chapter task.
Each Chapter or Mission set will have some tasks you will need to achieve to earn rewards and level up. You will be building and expanding your territory at each task and saving it from bandits.
Missions
You get to complete several missions to earn rewards and move forward in the game.
Base Missions – These missions are the ones that you have to complete to move to the new chapter. These are mandatory. This Section Consists of Completed Missions, Build Missions, Train Missions, Research Missions, and Misc.
Daily Missions - It consists of daily tasks for which you will earn points. Missions include – Upgrading a building, Defeating bandits, Gathering Food, oil, etc.
Commander Missions – These reward you when you return after a certain time.
Alliance Missions – Alliance missions will be received once you join an Alliance. Same as Commander Mission
VIP Missions – To complete VIP missions, you will need to get VIP access to the gain.
All these missions Except Base Missions will be renewed after a certain time limit.
Joining Alliance
Alliance in the game consists of other online players who have allied/group to play together. This is the same as making "Room" in other multiplayer games. You can either join one of the online Alliances available or create your own totally up to you. On Joining an Alliance, You will receive 100 free Gold (for the first time only), a Speed up (that enables you to march faster towards the enemy when attacking), and access to the Alliance chat where you can chat with other members of the alliance.
Rewards
You earn rewards for each task completed, and a daily reward is a bonus for that. As you keep on upgrading, you get to unlock new Characters for your advisor. Each Historical leader has his/her own set of skills. Your Character starts at Private Rank official and adds skill points to work to the General Rank. They all have some unlocked types of equipment, and those which are locked will be unlocked once to reach a certain level.
