How to play Invincible: Guarding the Globe

At the start of Invincible: Guarding the Globe, you will be given a team of heroes, and your job is to defeat criminals using these heroes and achieve the goals of GDE. In order to unlock other areas of the game and earn resources, the first thing you have to do is work on the campaign.

How to play Invincible: Guarding the Globe

The campaign stage has a certain number of battles, and every 10 battles, you have to face a more elite team of enemies. The enemies of the next 10 levels will be similar in power to the last elite enemy team you fought. As you progress, you will unlock other modes, and you have to explore these areas if you want to progress quickly. One of those is your heroes, so let's take a look at the heroes.

Heroes of Invincible: Guarding the Globe

In Invincible: Guarding the Globe, if you want to participate in content and progress further in the campaign, what you will need the most is heroes. At the start of the game, you will be provided with three free heroes, but there are five spots to fill, and you have to get two more even just to complete your formation.

To gain heroes, you have to go to the shop. Here, you will have preselected heroes. When you use the 'recruit hero' option, you can get one of the five preselected heroes. However, if you don't see a ticket on the summoning button and see gems instead, that means you will be spending your gems to get the heroes. You should never use gems to do so because there are other more useful things you can do with them.

Heroes of Invincible: Guarding the Globe

Before summoning, also check the grades and class of the heroes showcased. If that's what you want, you can summon one or use the refresh button. Although, once used, you have to wait one hour to get another refresh. Don't waste your tickets on hero selections that have no hero you want. This is because those summoning tickets are very hard to get. You will barely get 15 tickets by the time you clear the 10th stage of Chapter 5 of the campaign.

So, you have to be patient and get what you really want. Each hero summon levels up the shop, and you will have better options available as it levels up. So, you don't have to worry about getting the same set of choices when you refresh the shop. But how to know which Invincible: Guarding the Globe heroes are the best? Let's see how to do that.

Hero Rarity

Each of your heroes has rarity, which decides the numbers of the heroes' base stats and the skills they have access to. Generally, high rarity heroes are better than the low ones. From the summoning system, you can only get heroes up to elite level, and there are 8 rarity levels: Omnipotent, Seismic, Legendary, Epic, Exceptional, Elite, Rare, Common.

You should only use heroes above common, and common heroes should be retired to get special hero experience, gems, and other rewards. The heroes you can get from the shop and who are the common heroes of the game can be checked in the Collection tab of the hero section. Once you unlock the rank-up section, you can use two copies of the same hero to increase their rarity. You can rank up even a rare hero to Omnipotent rarity if you have enough copies, but they will only have 3 skills, and heroes who start from the elite rarity have 4 skills.

New skill unlocks this way: if you rank up a hero to Exceptional, you unlock the second skill, the third skill unlocks at Legendary, and the last skill unlocks at Omnipotent. The next thing you should know about heroes is their classes. Hero class tells you what they will offer in combat. So let's see what the classes are and how to create a good team.

Hero classes

Heroes of Invincible: Guarding the Globe can be divided into three main classes. The first class is defenders, identified by the shield icon located below the hero level. These heroes should be placed in the front left and center positions of your team formation. They have taunting, stunning, and shield-generating abilities to mitigate incoming damage, acting as shields for your other team members. Adding one defender to a team is generally considered good practice, but the second tank position should only be filled if your team is getting slaughtered quickly in battles.

Hero classes

Attackers

The second class is attackers, which come in a few types: those that deal damage from a distance, those that can move into the enemy line and deal damage to specific classes of heroes, and those that deal damage while staying close to your defenders. The ranged attackers are a bit weaker, so they should be placed in the back. The attackers that can move into the enemy line can be placed anywhere, and those that stay close to the defenders can also take some punches, so you can place them in the 2nd or any other position you like.

Supporters

The last class of Invincible: Guarding the Globe is supporters, identified by the handcuff symbol in the description. Similar to attackers, there are three types of supporters: those that can heal, those that can provide boosts to your heroes, and those that can weaken the enemy's abilities. The healer-type supporters are the best ones you can have. If you can get a hero like Omni-Man, you can push in the campaign with low-power attackers, but you will also need to use supporters that can boost the team.

The supporters that weaken the enemies come in handy when your defenders start to die early and when you don't have a healer in the group. Just like defenders, supporters also have low damage output, so try to use a minimum of these two classes at all times and fill the team with attackers as much as you can. After all, the best offense is the best defense.

How to Strengthen Heroes

In Invincible: Guarding the Globe other than rank-up, you can level up your heroes to increase their base stats. But the real power-up that matches their class comes from their gear. Each hero can equip 4 pieces of equipment and one artifact. Equipment is class-specific, meaning only attackers can wear attacker's gear and so on. The gears are marked with the class symbol so you can easily identify them.

How to Strengthen Heroes

Same as the heroes, gear has rarity; common are white and change color according to rarity. Both hero color and equipment color change the same way as they increase in rarity, so you will have an easier time identifying them, but you can enhance only the gear above elite rarity.

Artifacts

Artifacts of Invincible: Guarding the Globe are more powerful than gear; they bring in stat boosts just like the gear does, but they have special abilities that trigger when some combat conditions are met. For example, the Burger Mart burger artifact triggers when the hero's health reaches 20%, healing all party members and increasing their attack by 3%.

Because of this, you have to see which hero will benefit from this the most or which hero can trigger the condition more easily. The Burger Mart artifact is good for defenders as they provide HP, and it can easily trigger since defenders take the most damage. So, carefully read what they offer and equip them. You can acquire artifacts from missions, GDP ops, events, and the lab section of the shop.

The Faction System

If you want a little more boost to your team power when there is no other way to gain them, you can try to use the faction system. Invincible: Guarding the Globe has four factions: the Global Defence Agency, From World Beyond, Earth’s Defenders, and Criminal Organization. Each of your heroes belongs to one of these factions. According to the number of heroes of the same faction you add to your team, a buff will activate as follows:

  • 2 heroes of the same faction give a 3% boost to team members' HP.

  • 3 heroes of the same faction give a 6% boost to HP and a 2% boost to attack.

  • 4 heroes of the same faction give a 9% boost to HP, a 4% boost to attack, and a 4% boost to defense.

  • 5 heroes of the same faction give a 12% boost to HP, a 6% boost to Attack, and a 6% boost to defense.

  • 2 heroes of the same faction and 2 from another two factions give an 8% boost to HP, a 3% boost to attack, and a 3% boost to defense.

  • 3 heroes of the same faction and 2 from another two factions give a 10% boost to HP, a 5% boost to attack, and a 5% boost to defense.

Economy in Invincible: Guarding the Globe

There are various resources in Invincible: Guarding the Globe and various ways to spend them. Knowing how to earn them and the right strategy to spend them is important if you want to progress. So, in this section, let's take a look at these resources and currencies to better understand the game.

  • Gold: This is the most common currency in the game, required only to level up your heroes. You can earn them from progressing in the campaign, GDA Ops, as idle rewards, and in the alliance section.

  • GDA Gems: These are the premium currency of the game. You can use them to summon gear or heroes. But you should use hero tickets to summon new heroes and use gems to obtain new gear.

  • Hero Exp: These are the resources you need to level up your heroes. They can be obtained from the idle system, alliance, doing missions, and there is a dedicated GDA Ops tab you can use to obtain them.

  • Special Hero Exp: This exp is needed to ascend heroes. Once a level cap is reached, you need to spend Special Hero Exp to level break. These are very hard to obtain; even though the idle system generates these automatically, the amount is very low. The GDA section has a dedicated opp to obtain them, so make sure you always have a team fighting in that section even if others stay inactive.

  • Store: The store is where you can spend real money to acquire heroes and resources. Even though you can spend gems to get gold, you should never do that because you can easily get gold just by playing the game. But make sure to collect the free pack store offer every day.

  • Downtown Destruction

Events

Events of Invincible: Guarding the Globe often have missions so make sure you check for extra rewards and in the GDA Deals -> event deals section in store. However currently it seems the higher the event level of an event GDA op you get fewer rewards as the waves become harder. So it is best to rank up until you use 5 units then leave it at that

Invincible: Guarding the Globe Alliances

In Invincible: Guarding the Globe, you will unlock the alliance section last. At first, you will have to select a full team of heroes, and when you collect enough alliance combat points, you will get to do an alliance battle. When you progress through the first two regions alone, you will get access to the full alliance gameplay. From there, either invite people to your alliance or join someone else's alliance.

Each alliance can have up to five members, and each member gets to add a hero to the alliance formation. So, once you join an alliance, make sure to put the best hero you have into the alliance. Then, go into the alliance every few hours and do the milestone combat to earn gear and other resources.
