ABC Vaikams Lietuviškai Description
This interactive app is built and designed to help children easily learn and memorize the letters of the Lithuanian alphabet.
The app was created in consultation with psychologists. Based on to the recommendations, multiple mediums and different brain regions are used, which helps in easier establishment between the relation of shape and sound. This is done through hearing, motion and eidetic (visual) elements.
In contrast to other alphabets presented to children in Lithuanian schools and booklets, a lot of attention was concentrated around the choice of keywords and illustrative pictures. We use "mnemonics" - figurative links that facilitate the rather complicated process of recognizing unknown symbols.
In order to familiarize yourself with the shape of the letter, kids can draw/scratch it directly on mnemonic picture currently displayed. This helps developing motor writing skills and encodes letter shapes in memory through movement.
