Andrenaline Dungeon Description
Improve your character's skills, escape the time loop and return home.
Adrenaline Dungeon is a thrilling top-down dungeon crawler game inspired by classic games of the past, where you take on the role of an unknown man trapped in a time-looped dungeon filled with dangerous enemies and deadly traps. But soon, you discover that a new order is trying to rewrite history and alter the course of time.
In this epic journey, you must navigate through the dungeon's multiple levels, fighting off the order, avoiding traps, and uncovering the anomalies within. As you explore the dungeon, you'll uncover clues and learn more about the order and their plans to alter history.
Armed with your weapons and skills, you must confront the new order's minions and defeat their powerful leaders in engaging boss battles. But beware, as you progress deeper into the dungeon, the enemies become stronger and more cunning, making it increasingly challenging to succeed.
You'll need to master different combat styles, such as swordsmanship, archery, and magic, to overcome the dungeon's challenges and defeat the new order. Only by doing so can you break the time loop and prevent history from being rewritten.
Any one run can take from 1 to 3 hours to complete and each playthrough is mildly different due to the overall dungeon configuration being randomly generated and the player can choose how to improve his character along 3 main progression paths:
• Pure warrior path for exceptional swordman and general close combat skills
• Pure bowman path for exceptional archery skills
• Pure wizard path for unlocking spell casts
However, these progression paths can be mixed, at the cost of the player losing the ability to complete any one of them.
The game also has an endless mode where the player can play on one map for as long as he wants, essentially trying to achieve a high wave count by clearing out all enemies spawned during each wave. Every wave gets progressively harder by introducing new enemy types, then more enemies and eventually simply buffing the enemies stats until the player either gets bored or dies.
• 8 custom programmed AI types, 9 minimally scripted boss fights and 1 major boss fight with the final enemy guarding the time machine (which is a key plot point), multiple maps, minibosses, a quality easily configurable sound engine and a custom dialogue system. Every line of code in the game except the core systems Unity provides was written in house.
• Settings for blood: blood effects can be turned on or off.
• Sound settings: SFX, voices and music can be turned higher or lower based on preference.
• Dual control scheme: Player can choose between a floating or fixed joypad for combat.
There are 15 level types of varying difficulty designed to match the Player's progression
Each level type has a configuration: supported enemy types, trap difficulty, reward level, size of map (4 defined size classes, from 1 phone screen to 8 screens (reference a s20 screen for size) and enemy count are all statically defined for each level type.
Each map has sub-configurations with decorations and NPC positions moved by hand.
There is also the endless mode map.
For the dungeon crawler like campaign (main mode of play) the player will have to navigate a world map to carve a path through the dungeon until he reaches the endgame boss.
The game's story?
The Honor Guard faction is enemy of the Player within the game. Their initial goal was to change history by intervening in real life events during medieval times but the Player getting lost in their dungeon before they were ready to act causes them to fail in achieving this goal and forces them to redirect their minimally prepared resources on stopping the Player before he can destroy the time machine.
The end
It’s not that simple. There are multiple endings to get, and the endings can change based on the decisions that you make during the game.
